I did a trial lesson with Diego and it was so much fun. I am a very shy person and it takes me a while to warm up and talk a lot but he has one of those personalities that makes you comfortable. It was like we had already met before and were just playing catch up. I will definitely have another lesson with him soon and you should too.

This was my first class with Diego and it was pretty cool. I've had teachers before with other languages and I would always have this nervousness with them during my first time but with Diego, it was as if we were pals. The dude's polite, nice and very helpful. Another thing I like is that we eased into Spanish. I told him upfront that I'd forgotten quite a bit of it and he didn't just immediately tackle me with Spanish, lol. We talked a bit in English and slowly, we got more into the Spanish language. We had a good time getting to know each other in Spanish with various topics to get that familiarity which added to that pal/ comfort feel of the class. Then we went on to the more grammatical parts of the language. Got some homework to do and I can't wait to go over it. Also can't wait to book another class. (And hopefully my stupid phone network will work next time 😅) And yes, he was also very patient even though my phone service sucks. Well, can only fit <1000 letters.Class 10/10

Just had my first 60-minute lesson with Diego after doing a trial lesson and let me tell you, HE IS AWESOME!!! The hour came and went so fast, yet I learned so much and had so much fun! Diego came well prepared to class with materials and activities for me to try to ensure I was understanding the material. I cannot stress enough, as someone who suffers from anxiety, how easy it is to communicate with him. It's literally like having one of your friends teach you. He is great at taking my tangents and turning them back to the lesson (lol) and using them to teach me something. I also appreciate all the nuances of the language that he explains that I wouldn't understand as a non-native speaker learning on my own. If you have stumbled upon his profile and see my review, DO NOT HESITATE to book with him!! Thank you so much Diego!! Cant wait for my next lesson!!

An absolutely amazing teacher — warm, friendly, and funny. I'm really looking forward to improving my Spanish with him going into the future. Five minutes into the lesson, I'd have to book again; the hour lesson flew by incredibly fast! I learned a little bit about the slang that they use in the Dominican Republic, along with some other new words. His corrections were kind, yet professional. Honestly, I was quite nervous going into the lesson (as I had never used the iTalki platform before), but he was absolutely amazing! Do not stress beforehand whatsoever. I would recommend his classes to anyone and everyone trying to improve their Spanish. In my opinion, the value of having a bilingual teacher is unmatched.
