Very friendly teacher. Says things in Japanese and English as well as explains things in a way that makes sense. Internet connection was not good so we had to switch to zoom and her video was laggy but for a trial lesson I was able to follow along still.

Today, we had a fun conversation about lawns, gardens, the seasons, and the weather. I learned how the vegetation is affected by the seasons and weather in Japan. It was fun to learn that it was a little different from my expectations.

Today, we talked about work and the different things I'm anxious about. We also discussed various foods because I went to a restaurant for the first time this past weekend. We then reviewed Genki Chapter 20 and went over the differences between the different respectful forms.

We discussed a lot of food today. Specifically, mochi and the different types that can be made. In Hawaii, there are places that make quite the variety of mochi. We also talked about the different food options at Costco and how tasty they are.
