Hi, I'm Laura Manuela from Colombia, I finished my major in Astrophysics last year and I'm teaching Spanish since 1 year ago because I love sharing ideas, teaching, and learning.
I have many hobbies like literature, meditation and learning about other cultures... If you are looking for a teacher who teaches you with passion and someone with whom you can have an engaging conversation in Spanish, then look no further! I have a diploma in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL/TESOL), and have learned several methodologies and approaches to teaching depending on the many ways that a person can learn. I have been teaching maths, physics, and English to high school students for two years now. I enjoy teaching and love learning from everyone that I get to know. I love speaking and writing in my language and have read much of its literature. From my own experience, I know the best way to learn any subject is to genuinely enjoy it. And the best way to learn a language is learning and practicing new words and expressions in a safe, encouraging, and enjoyable context. Regardless of your level, you will be speaking Spanish with me from the very first class. Over time, I'll choose topics that I know you are interested in. My years of learning English have shown me that you learn a language most effectively when you practice listening, reading, and writing using resources that you personally find useful. Laura has been the perfect Spanish teacher for me. She is patient, pleasant, prompt, knowledgeable, and clearly speaks English which made it easier for me to learn Spanish. I travel to Mexico to spearfish and fish often. I recently took my three sons to Mexico on a fishing trip, my goal was to be able to communicate with the locals. With months to prepare Laura helped me reach that goal. She tailored my classes to communicate with specific locales like, the captain, the restaurant people, gas station attendants and others. We also worked on general communication. My plan with Laura is to continue to learn. My next goal is to be at Spanish speaking level to where I am more fluent and more comfortable speaking the language. I’m confident Laura will help me reach that next goal. It was obvious that she has great interest in my learning. Laura enjoys teaching, I recommend her to anyone who is interested in learning Spanish.

I really enjoy practicing Spanish with Laura. She is patient and knows a lot about different topics which makes our conversations very interesting and informative. I would definitely recommend her as a tutor as she always comes prepared with material for class and is always looking to help you improve your Spanish.
