I am a qualified Japanese teacher with over 15 years of corporate business experience in Japan and Australia. I teach keigo (polite language), business Japanese, and interview preparation. With experience raising bilingual children abroad, I help learners acquire authentic expressions not found in textbooks. I also support returnees and those with Japanese partners in understanding subtle nuances of the language. Lessons are offered in both English and Japanese. I really enjoy instructor Kosuke's style. He's patient, gives very clear explanations, and understands both English and Japanese at a deep level. I've noticed a big improvement in my grammar and feel more confident to speak to others in Japanese.

Kosuke Sensei is great! We just started Genki 2. He is patient with me when I need help understanding a lesson and is great at explaining each of the lessons in Genki 1 and 2.
He does a great Job of coming up with questions in addition to the Genki textbook to help further study each of the concepts.
I have been studying with him once a week for about six months. He has been exactly on time and fully present for all of those lessons. He has also been really great about figuring out when I need additional time with a lesson before moving on to the next one.
I highly recommend Kosuke sensei.

I've been taking lessons with Kosuke for about 6 months now, and I've seen significant improvement in my conversational Japanese. Not only is he kind, but he's also incredibly patient during our lessons, and I've come to be comfortable making mistakes without fear of judgment. He is also very honest and considerate, and has been instrumental in helping me set realistic and achievable goals. I look forward to our weekly lessons and truly enjoy talking to Kosuke.
