Hello! Thank you for visiting my profile! My name is Marilú, and I was born in Peru in South America, but currently, I reside in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates. I am a certified Spanish teacher and copyeditor, and I also hold a university degree in Communication. I have a Master's in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and over 4 years of experience teaching this language.
I speak English and am currently learning Arabic, so I understand the challenges you may encounter when learning a new language. Let me tell you that I am passionate about cinema, literature, and learning about different cultures.Che tipo di insegnante sono
As a teacher I will focus on your goals and interests to design personalized exercises and classes for you. However, I follow the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) contents according to your level. I have different materials for all levels and objectives. I offer you two types of classes:
1. Regular classes: in which we will address topics of grammar, vocabulary, culture and communication skills. We will use a textbook according to your level, but with personalized extra material according to your interests. We will practice all language skills: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking and writing.
2. Conversation classes: Depending on your level and interests, we will choose topics and news that are attractive to you and that allow us to practice your Spanish. At the end of each session I will give you a summary with your strengths and weaknesses and I will explain to you in a simple and clear way how you can improve.Il mio materiale didattico

Marilu is an absolutely phenomenal Spanish teacher and I recommend her without hesitation! I had such a blast in her lessons.
She always went the extra mile and customized each session to my needs and interests. Not only is she a brilliant teacher, but she's also a powerful motivator. I ended up wanting to learn more Spanish because of her.
On top of that, Marilu is just a genuinely lovely person, perfectly balancing professionalism with a friendly demeanor.
Everyone tells me I must have an incredible teacher to speak Spanish so well after only five lessons, and I couldn't agree more. Marilu is truly outstanding!

Marilu is a kind, prepared teacher who uses each minute of the class in a productive way. As an advanced Spanish student, she targets each lesson to a specific language goal and I am expanding my Spanish horizons. I learn several new things in each lesson.

Always an amazing class with Marilu! She always brings creative and different topics to discuss. Never a dull moment with Marilu. Highly recommend Marilu as a teacher if you're looking to level up your Spanish or make a new friend as your Spanish teacher.

I've just finished another excellent lesson with Marilu and I could not sing her praises more highly! I have been studying with her for 16 months now and have gone from a complete beginner to someone who can hold conversations and express ideas (although I've still got a long way to go!). Even after a year of studying, Marilu keeps the lessons interesting and engaging, which as an English teacher myself, I know from experience is not easy. If you are looking for someone who takes the time to understand your strengths and weaknesses, creates personalised lesson materials and keeps you engaged and motivated, I would highly recommend that you learn from her. Her classes have had a significant impact on my Spanish journey and my attitude to learning languages as a whole :)

Always an amazing class with Marilu. She's very funny and always brings an interesting perspective. I've done a lot of Spanish classes but I always find Marilu's classes have a way of expanding my knowledge/learning - which is awesome.
