I hold the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test certification and have taught over 1,000 lessons on italki. I’m also passionate about learning languages myself—I can speak more than 10 languages and have even published a book on language learning.

I have been sharing content about learning Japanese online for over 7 years. My strength lies in teaching the real usage and subtle nuances of Japanese from a native speaker’s perspective—things you won’t find in textbooks.
Very often, the Japanese you see in textbooks, anime, or dramas is quite different from how people actually speak in real life. As a native Japanese speaker, I will help you learn the authentic expressions that Japanese people truly use every day.
