I am a Japanese teacher.
I live in Nagano, Japan.
My hobby is traveling. I love visiting breweries, wineries and hot springs.
Recently I like anime (SPY×FAMILY, Demon Slayer, Attack on Titan, etc.) very much and I often watch them.
I have been to Canada, USA, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia.
I'm so curious that I want to know more about the world.

I majored in Japanese language education at my university.
After graduating from the university, I have been teaching Japanese for 3 years in China and over 15 years in Japan.
I love teaching Japanese.
I can teach conversation, composition, kanji, test preparation, business Japanese, pronunciation, anything.
Now I mainly teach online. I also have a YouTube channel "日本語まきちゃんねる".
I try to make it easy for you to understand and enjoy learning in class.

I can teach at any level, from beginner to business level. I teach in Japanese according to the learner's level, so even beginners can learn with confidence. I'm having so much fun learning learning with Maki sensei! I feel really good when I study my homework and come to class prepared. I am still training my ear to comprehend, but I can tell there is improvement and the time it takes me to understand is shortening over time. I'm grateful to have such a good and patient teacher!

I took a practice lesson with Maki-sensei and she was great.
She spoke enough English so I could learn and talk with her and she is very welcome to questions.
She is very nice and open to you and making sure she helps with what you need.

The first lesson went well! Maki sensei had flashcards ready to help me remember greetings and helped me to visualize when to use them. I'm looking forward to future lessons!
