My name is Pius Ntinya, i'm a professional teacher from Tanzania. I have been a teacher for more than fifteen years in schools teaching English, Swahili and French in primary, secondary and high schools. I also have three years experience in online teaching. I can speak Swahili, English and French. I have worked as Education Coordinator in Burundian refugee camp called Nyarugusu found in Kigoma region in Tanzania. I'm a professional translator & interpreter. i'm trained on Early Childhood Care & Development(ECCD). i'm also an author of academic & language e-books especially that of Swahili. I'm also an environmental expert as a have a Master of Science in Climate Change.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I'm experienced tutor, i have taught in schools for more than fifteen years and online for three years. I'am also highly skilled in language teaching approaches, techniques, strategies and methods. I have also undergone a special course for teaching non native speakers of Swahili language. I know how to encourage and motivate learners. I can speak Swahili, English & French. I teach all kinds of learners from beginners, intermediate and advanced level. I also teach Swahili for those who want to learn for traveling or vacation. I always ask learners to explain what outcome they would need to attain, so I use simple notes, audios, short stories, simple grammar, audio visuals, you tube etc. I help learners practice speaking the targeted language. Today we had more great conversations about New Years traditions and world events. Mwalimu Pius always has great follow up questions and provides keen insights of his own. You can tell he's passionate about teaching and improving his students' Swahili.

Had a very interesting conversation with Mwalimu Pius about differences in greetings (verbal and physical) among the cultures of Tanzania, U.S. and Japan. He has great insights into cultural and historical topics. It's always an enjoyable hour of my day. We made a plan to discuss other cultural topics next time and to compare.

We had an engaging and spirited discussion today about different cultural behaviors, including the increase of youth and adult isolation at home, grueling work culture of Japan and Christmas tree harvesting in the U.S. We always have many interesting things to discuss. Mwalimu Pius always provides insightful observations as well.

We had some very interesting discussions today about Thanksgiving, differences in family culture between Tanzania and America, private vs public schools, and the conflict between America and Venezuela. It's always a joy to converse with Mwalimu Pius.
