My name is Julie and I am 37 years old living in the United States of America.
I enjoy traveling, playing video games and cooking. I lived in Japan for 5 years, and during that time I traveled to Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore and China. I also traveled all over Japan to places such as Okinawa, Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima, Osaka, Nagoya, Takayama, Shirakawago and many many more.
I love learning how to cook dishes from all over the world and I sometimes took cooking classes at the places I visited. I cook almost every day!Che tipo di insegnante sono
I spent 5 years teaching English in public middle schools within Japan. After my day job, I would tutor Japanese adults in TOEFL prep, "eikaiwa" (English conversation) or business English. I also have experience tutoring children ages 5 to 12 within Japan and Italki. We often use flashcards to learn, and sometimes even games. In 2020 I received my TEFL certificate after taking an online course. I wanted to have a certificate to go with my experience!
I believe that patience is very important when it comes to learning a language. I am patient with students, and can adapt the lesson around their needs. Le mie lezioni e il mio metodo di insegnamento
I believe having fun and practicing everyday is the best way to learn a language! I like to focus on why the students want to learn English, and will build my lessons around that reason! I like to make my own worksheets or find ones online that focus on grammar, spelling or sentence making.
*NOTE* All lessons must be booked through Italki. I will not arrange lessons or payments outside of the Italki website. I will not download any additional classroom programs or learning tools.

I highly recommend my English tutor, Julie, to anyone looking to improve their language skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
Teaching Style: Julie’s teaching style is both interactive and encouraging. Each lesson is thoughtfully structured, yet flexible enough to adapt to my learning pace. She always takes the time to explain things clearly and makes sure I fully understand the material before moving on.
Classroom Atmosphere: The atmosphere in Julie’s lessons is very friendly and relaxed, which made me feel comfortable speaking up and asking questions. At the same time, the lessons are focused and well-organized, so I always feel like I’m making progress.
