Hello! My name is Stanislav, Stan for short. I am a 50-year-old male from Bosnia, married for over 2 decades and counting, war veteran, Bachelor of Science from Toronto U, speaking English for well over 30 years now. I am passionate about cats & dogs, gaming, music, movies, and anime. I love reading, and learning new things - I am a computer engineer by trade, but I got a welder's license as well, and have worked as an archivist for few years in addition to my military background so you can see I have a wide spectrum of interests :) I thoroughly appreciate critical thinking and am trying to teach my students to do the same!Che tipo di insegnante sono

I am a patient and kind type (so my students tell me!) - my greatest joy is when students actually ASK me questions (that means that they are awake, as well :P ). I enjoy interacting with people, and interactive style suits me best, but of course, I can be "old school" and stick to the book, if that is what is required!

Stan is a unique teacher; he is both charismatic and funny. He has shown me how much fun learning languages can be. Thanks to him, I have discovered a new interest in reading books, which allows me to improve my reading skills outside the classroom.

I used to sample different teachers, but these days I just keep taking Stan's class (and only one other). What differentiates his class is the trending materials he brings. Materials usually consist of some interesting news articles and videos. Talking about them sometimes can be challenging, but it is better than generic, dull textbooks. They're especially great for extra vocabulary & reading practice. Plus, the class is flexible enough to chat about things outside of the materials 🙂

Conversations with Stanislav are very interesting and informative. He is understanding of mistakes made, which increases my confidence to communicate in English. In addition, very diverse topics are selected for classes, which make it possible to develop my vocabulary and learn a lot of new things
