Hello! I’m Manvir, a native English speaker from Toronto with a Bachelor’s in English from York University. As a longtime music tutor, I’ve mastered adapting lessons to individual goals—now I apply that skill to teaching English! Whether you want fluent conversations or academic precision (grammar, writing, or vocabulary), I’ll tailor classes to your needs. Let’s make learning engaging and effective!
I really enjoy teaching! I have been a music tutor for 10 years, I give private lessons and group lessons to people of all ages. I decided to transfer my passion and skills for teaching music to teaching English. Having graduated with an English degree from a well-known university, I know it'll be a great fit. I'm well-versed in understanding each students unique language requirements and setting developmental goals to get them to their desired targets.
I am flexible with my teaching plan as I cater to the needs of each individual student. I have a few types of lessons: informal lessons that focus on everyday English and conversation, and academic lessons that sharpen reading and writing skills, as well as, vocabulary and grammar. My kid likes to have lesson with Mr Manvir. He has good experience to let kid follow his directions, he has strong education background that he understands hard materials /requirements from parent, and manages to work with student very well. Tutor also responses fast either regarding booking or questions. We have done many lessons already, and still keep going. Highly recommend!
