I have been taking Chinese classes with Melissa for several months now and I truly enjoy every lesson. I am always excited for our next class! Her teaching style is very personal, engaging and motivating. I live in Shanghai, this i why I want to learn Chinese for daily life communication. After each lesson, I feel like I have made real progress. She always provides a lot of useful new content, vocabulary, which helps me continue learning after class. She also remembers details from previous lessons and from my personal goals, which shows how involved and dedicated she is. You can really tell that she enjoys teaching and cares about her students’ progress. I would definitely recommend Melissa to anyone who wants to learn Chinese! :)

Great teaching and conversation

Mei 老师 is great! I have been taking classes with her for close to a month and I have have nothing but good things to say about my experience. I am learning because I am traveling to China in a couple of months and was really eager to have a good basic knowledge, however I have felt this way before about other languages and have not been as disciplined as I could be; Mei has made the classes so enjoyable that I have not felt like slacking or doing something else.

I have been with Melissa for over a year now, taking Chinese classes to help maintain my current skills and push them even further. She is great at explaining things in ways that I can understand at my level, and I learn a lot of new and useful vocabulary in our classes. When I took a short trip to China, I already started noticing all the new words that I was taught, and she is extremely professional when teaching, but also makes you feel like you are talking to someone you know. Would highly recommend as a teacher.
