Do you want to speak Persian confidently without feeling nervous or stuck?
I’m Mohsen, a professional Persian tutor and interpreter with over 15 years of experience. I’ve worked with students from different countries, helping them move from basic phrases to confident, natural conversations.
I’m also the host of the Podgap podcast, with over 140 episodes designed for Persian learners around the world. In addition, I’m an experienced tour guide with deep knowledge of Iranian culture, history, and everyday life. I began teaching Persian in 2009 and hold a teaching diploma from Ferdowsi University. Over the years, I’ve worked with learners from different backgrounds and levels, helping them build real confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
I believe that an effective teacher does more than explain grammar — they inspire, guide, and truly understand each student’s unique needs and goals. My approach is structured, goal-oriented, and practical. I’m supportive but disciplined, making sure you stay motivated and make steady progress step by step.

"My primary teaching method is a speaking-focused course designed to help you communicate confidently with the Persian community. Accent and pronunciation are key aspects I emphasize to ensure you sound natural. Don’t worry if you don’t know the Persian alphabet—we can start speaking without it!
This course covers your basic communication needs using a variety of resources, including books, videos, podcasts, and pictures. We’ll focus on informal, everyday speech, which differs from formal Persian. Along the way, you’ll learn new vocabulary and essential grammar through specific topics. Mohsen is the best! He is a fantastic teacher and just a generally fun and nice guy. He keeps things entertaining and is able to adjust based on your skills and what you hope to achieve. He knows Persian culture inside out.
A year ago the Persian alphabet was totally not something I was planning on learning and lo and behold I just finished all the letters today.
Mohsen is professional, he's on time and always available to answer questions. I look forward to my weekly lesson and can't wait to get started in 2022!
