I’m Razieh (call me Roza!)—a PhD linguist, Persian examiner, and university lecturer with 18 years of experience. My specialty? Teaching Persian to non-native speakers in a way that’s joyful, culturally rich, and stress-free. Whether you’re starting from scratch or refining fluency, my innovative methods (honed through linguistics research and global teaching) make learning feel natural. I am a lecturer at university and college, teaching English and Persian to non-Persian speakers. I am also a Persian examiner. I hold a bachelor's degree in English translation and a master's and PhD in linguistics. My GPA is 19.25/20, with a perfect 20/20 for my PhD thesis. I have been teaching for more than 16 years, and teaching is so deeply interwoven into my life that I cannot imagine any other profession. As a native Persian speaker, I teach Persian at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. I use the latest teaching methods to engage my students and keep them eager to learn. I’m grateful that my role also requires me to stay up-to-date. To make lessons enjoyable, I incorporate stories, poetry, videos, or anything that refreshes the atmosphere while maintaining focus on learning. By using diverse materials like books, films, and digital tools, I create a memorable, dynamic learning experience. I strive to deliver content in unique, innovative ways.

Roza is a perfect teacher. I enjoy her lessons. She is helping me to keep my Persian active and alive. I could also make some progress even though my current focus on Catalan doesn't leave me much energy for Persian. Thank you!

I had a perfect lesson with Roza! We introduced ourselves, I told her my reasons for learning Persian, and she helped me remember what I had learned previously in Persian. Roza was enthusiastic, good-natured, and well-prepared. I cannot imagine a better introductory lesson!

I really enjoyed my lesson with Roza. She was so flexible and quickly and accurately assessed my level and adapted her lesson to my needs. I really need a lot of practice with my listening skills so she patiently went over a video of a gentleman speaking slightly above my level with was ideal! I am so impressed with the fact that she knows how to do that. She spoke a lot of Farsi to me but switched to English when I needed it the most. Her classroom atmosphere was just as she promised; relaxed and without anxiety yet challenging and fun. She has a natural way of putting me at ease. I am very grateful to have found such a gem!
