Hi there! I'm Andrew. I have a Master's in Pedagogy and German from the University of Kentucky as well as a TEFL certificate. I have over two years of English and German teaching experience (as a German instructor throughout my MA) and 500+ hours of online tutoring. I'm a language student, too- 17 years of learning German, as well as some Spanish, French, and Japanese. I'm passionate about language acquisition, and thankful for the opportunity to teach and continue improving! I'm also a passionate writer and former business student/worker, able to teach professional and academic English, interview preparation, and resume proofreading/translation.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I view students as untapped potential, and hope to guide or coach them to their ultimate goals rather than prescribe what I think is best. In our trial lessons, we will do a needs analysis and discuss your goals (business English, resume help, test prep, general speaking practice, etc.), and your proficiency level. I strive to be kind, patient, and encouraging to my students, and often send my students links to news articles, videos, and other resources after the lesson to allow them to build on concepts learned in-class. I am a big believer in communicative learning! The term has a wide definition in practice, but essentially: I want you to speak as much as possible! Comprehensible production in the target language is practical to most people's goals. If you are looking to polish your intermediate-proficient conversational or written English skills for academic or business purposes, you have come to the right place. Be ready to speak a lot! I love a good back-and-forth dialogue with my students, and helping them to build longer, more specific and accurate sentences.
