Hi! I’m a native Mandarin speaker from China and currently living in Canada. I have a Bachelor’s degree from a teachers’ university and a Master’s degree in Business from the UK. Over the past 15+ years, I have worked in both education and business in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou, with more than 5 years of experience teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
My lessons are friendly, interactive, and personalized. I believe language learning should be practical, enjoyable, and connected to real life. Vivi H. is an extremely knowledgeable in all facets of culture, history, economics, and social issues. Therefore, during her lesson she introduces her student to a plethora of new vocabulary, and engages the student in a series of question and answer discussions, I highly recommend her to anyone wishing to improve or increase their language learning skills.

An excellent lesson! Vivi has created some very good materials that work well with my style of learning. She has also been very patient with me today. Even though I forgot part of last lesson's vocabulary she was kind enough to review the words with me, and help me remember them. Thanks again!

Another excellent lesson with Vivi. She encourages me to speak, and actively recall everything I've learned in a very engaging, and natural way. Each lesson has a good mix of new vocabulary, and new grammar points.

There are not enough superlatives to describe Vivi, and her teaching method. She is an excellent teacher who is not only quick to recognize which learning skills her student requires remedial help with, but Vivi is also super patient in assisting her student gain confidence in overcoming those learning difficulties. also has a great personality and thus knows how to make the difficult aspects of learning a language enjoyable,
