Hi! My name is Armin. I am a native English/Farsi speaker but that’s not all! I’m a polyglot.
I have a BA in American literature, with a minor in Language Teaching, and a Master's degree in US History where I specialized in the history of citizenship in the United States. I am now working on my PhD in English Literature at the University of Florida.
As an autodidactic polyglot, I am pretty familiar with challenges and tricks of learning languages and I help students overcome and master them.
I have been teaching in different schools in several countries to students of different ages and levels. I am currently a teacher in a junior-high school in Italy.
I have had classes for IELTS & TOEFL preparations, business courses, general English for children and adults and also conversation classes.
During my BA degree in Italy, I obtained extensive training on teaching methods and strategies that next to my long years of practical experience, it makes me a versatile teacher with robust classes that are both friendly and resourceful.
I use text books for beginners and elementary students and articles and podcasts for more independent users.

English TeacherI have been working as a teacher to elementary and junior high school students training the students to participate in Cambridge Young Learner exams. Over the past six years, a high percent of my students have passed their exams with distinction and they have developed a visible interest in learning languages in general. I conduct lessons entirely in English and the students get the chance to improve their understanding very quickly and become active users of English very quickly.

English TeacherIn this school, I taught English to adults who need to develop their English for personal or work reasons. The school often kept me for higher levels which are more conversation-based. I used to use the latest topics and issues for such classes using articles from magazines or TV programs where students got to enjoy very authentic and up-to-date discussions.

English TeacherDocere is a local recruit agency that puts job applicants through with companies and in order to increase their chances of finding a job, offers them courses that can develop their various skills. In 2015, the agency decided to include English in its course list. In this agency, I was basically in charge of everything from preparing, and conducting, placement tests, to teaching the courses and assessing the students.

I have been taking classes with Armin for a considerable time, and every session is something I genuinely look forward to. As Armin's student, I am so grateful. Not only do I get a high quality and enjoyable lesson every week, but Armin really charges a VERY, VERY reasonable rate for the extreme high quality of his lessons.
If any new students are reading this to decide whether to take his class or not, know that you will be getting the world-class quality language education at the most affordable rate you will find anywhere. I have had other Persian teachers on Italki but none compare to Armin in their ability to engage, explain, and to generate enthusiasm. TAKE HIS CLASSES! Oh my goodness Armin is the best! I've been having classes with him for a while now, and it's just been great. I can tell that he's adjusted his methods to fit what works best for me, and I can really see the results. I recently had the chance to put it all to the test by going to Italy and needing to communicate with native Italian colleagues... and I could do it for the first time! I didn't need everything translated for me, and I could express myself in complex ways. Surely it wasn't perfect, but it was a huge leap from the last time I was there. I've tried other apps and programs and nothing has worked as well as having consistent lessons with Armin. He's also just a kind and joyful and interesting human being.
