I'm Julie, I'm 29 years old. I'm from France but I've been living all around the world.
I am an absolute language nerd and I pretty much spend my days either taking lessons, teaching others, and trying to figure out which language I should learn next.Che tipo di insegnante sono
I have taught French and English to over 300 people over the last few years. I have a lot of experience with people who are a bit nervous to have a conversation in a foreign language... and know that with me, it's ok to make 20 mistakes a sentence and have a "bad" pronunciation. I will NEVER judge you or tell you off. I will simply give you the tools to improve, a lot of compassion and laughs to make sure we make progress without losing motivation. As a language learner myself, I strongly believe the trick to learning a new language is to speak as soon as possible. What I mean by that, is that it's crucial to learn the most common phrases and vocabulary that you will use in your daily life, so that you can start using that new language as soon as possible, and not lose motivation when faced with complicated grammar or tricky pronunciation.
I also believe it is important to "consume" the language in every possible way : read it, listen to it, speak it, write it, on paper, on your phone, on your computer, in real life, etc.
Last but not least, I will ALWAYS listen to your needs and interests before I plan my lessons with you.Il mio materiale didattico

I spent the past 6 months doing conversation practice with Julie. I’ve only been learning French a few years and, although I felt fairly confident with the grammar, I always doubted my ability to speak French. From the very first lesson Julie made me feel at ease and I knew that with her, I could progress. Her experience learning languages herself means that she understands the troubles faced by non-native speakers as well as the importance of speaking in enhancing written language skills. I feel so much more confident now in my ability to speak French - thank you so much Julie! :)

Julie adapte très bien son niveau de parler à ses clients pendant tous les moments et adapte aussi quand ses clients s’améliorent :) c’est très cool.

Been meaning to write a review for a long time. I've been taking French conversation lessons with Julie almost every week for six months now, and she is amazing. My French is somewhat fluent, so our "lesson" is mostly just unstructured conversation, but it's great practice for me, and she's always helpful and non-judgmental when I don't know a word or stumble over some difficult grammatical thing. Julie has terrific insights about the language learning and teaching processes more generally too. She's super easy to talk to, always has interesting things to discuss, and has wonderful energy. I'm in such a good mood at the end of every lesson. :)

Julie was very friendly. She listened to me carefully and asked what my learning goals were. She encouraged me to continue talking even though I know my French isn't very good. :-) I think we'll have a great time bringing my French more ready for my trip!

My trial lesson with Julie was AMAZING! She is exactly what I am looking for and intend to continue with her for a long time to come. She was very focused on my needs and gave me an excellent plan for our future lessons. She is also a very personable teacher and it was easy to feel comfortable with her - mistakes and all!
