Since beginning my teaching journey in early 2021, I have gained plenty of experience teaching students of all ages and levels, as well as teaching different styles of lessons. I believe it's my duty as a teacher to learn every bit as much from my students as my students learn from me! I take genuine interest in my students' interests and I'm earnest about their goals. I can teach a variety of English skills, ranging from conversation to grammar to reading. I'm happy to customize/plan lessons with you to fit your needs, learning styles, interests, and goals! I offer classes through Zoom, and because the lesson plans are tailored to fit you, I'm able to provide different forms of teaching material. For example, shared Google docs, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations/slides, online articles/news, interactive websites/quizzes, exercise worksheets, short video clips, conversation topics, and homework assignments for those who would like extra practice outside of the classroom.
I'm a very detail-oriented and thorough teacher, so I like to address initial strengths/weaknesses first, then go from there! I try my best to create a comfortable and enjoyable learning environment for my students, so you're encouraged to make many mistakes.5.0

Karen is a great teacher, she was well prepared for the lessons and guided our conversations, which made me feel comfortable. She also showed me better words or different ways to express the same ideas and worked on my pronunciation. I will recommend her to anyone who wants to improve English.

Karen is a very nice teacher and focused on the student's learning needs. She knows how to listen with patience and encourages the student to speak without being afraid of making mistakes. I'm glad I found her on iTalki and I look forward to the next classes.
