Fidan is a wonderful teacher who has the ability to make you feel very comfortable during lesson by giving motivational feedback constantly. The lessons are very well prepared and personalized. Additionally, she provides her own materials, which is a true blessing since it’s hard to find material for the Azerbaijani language. Also there’s optional homework to revise the topics of the lesson. The atmosphere is always incredibly positive. Looking forward to many more lessons 🫶🇦🇿

Nach einem Jahr Unterricht und zahlreichen Stunden, die ich mit Maya verbracht habe, möchte ich ein Feedback zu ihrer Vermittlung von Lerninhalten und der Unterrichtsgestaltung machen. Meine Muttersprache ist deutsch und ich erlerne bei Ihr die aserbaidschanische Sprache. Der Unterricht findet auf Englisch statt. Es ist jedoch auch mir, mit nur durchschnittlichen Englischkenntnissen möglich mit Maya zu lernen,da sie sich auf ihr Gegenüber sehr flexibel einstellen kann und den Unterricht immer an die Bedürfnisse der Schüler anpasst. Ich habe von 0 angefangen, also wirklich von „Hallo mein Name ist“ über „1,2,3..“ und bin nun nach einem Jahr und teilweise nur 30 Minuten Unterricht in der Woche, in der Lage bereits ganze Sätze zu sprechen und ein ganze Menge mehr zu verstehen. Maya schafft es mit ihrer freundlichen, herzlichen Art mir den Spaß am Lernen zu behalten und durch ihre Aufgabenstellung die stets auf das Niveau des Schülers angepasst ist, mich zu motivieren.

I would not speak Azerbaijani nearly as well as I do now without Lalə’s assistance. She is very knowledgeable, very encouraging, and flexible to suit your learning needs. 10/10 recommend.

Alex is a great and patient tutor! He is very helpful with pronunciation and gives good cultural insights too. His knowledge of Russian, Azeri, and Turkish is a power package; he explains how the three languages interact in Baku. His English is also very good, and I always understand what he’s saying. I like that he starts out each lesson asking me to recap what we covered last time so that we are on the same page and I have to demonstrate that I actually learned the material. Fully recommend.
