Given that I know several languages, I am able to understand the unique as well as common aspects of the Danish language in relation to others and to highlight those. As a tutor, I would also look for gaps in the student's language ability and help fill those out. My approach is to always be positive and encouraging so that the student looks forward to each session and feels the joy of progression in the language. I have had many language teachers and tried different methodologies throughout the years, and I try to imitate the best teachers and apply the approaches that I feel have been the most productive.

Even though I am a native speaker, I am aware of the fact that the Danish language and especially its pronunciation provides many challenges for language learners and mastering Danish won't happen overnight. Native Danish professor I have been teaching English in a private institute here in Uruguay for 1 year, I am TEFL certified, and have had various students on Danish classes as well. I teach by seeking out the specific goals and interests of my students, so they get to talk about all the things that matter the most to them. A common dogma between language teachers is to harshly demand that only the target language be spoken, and while practice is key, my personal experience show that clarification questions in a more comfortable tongue can go a long way in terms of actual understanding of the subject.
