I have special lessons for beginners. I'm the creator of a podcast designed to improve understanding of Portuguese spoken by native speakers, aimed at students looking to improve their language. My conversation classes offer support material, with a specific theme for each session. This material is designed to guide and facilitate meaningful and relevant discussions during the lessons.

I have been teaching languages since 2002, both online and in person, in private lessons and group classes at language schools in Brazil. Since moving abroad, I’ve continued teaching students from different countries online. Teaching Portuguese is especially meaningful to me: language is not only about words, but also culture, social cues, and connection. I am very committed to teaching so that my students really learn, notice their mistakes but don't feel bad about them, because mistakes are part of this language construction. I prepare a PowerPoint presentation with pronunciation tips (and accents), introduction to phonetic symbols (Portuguese phonetic tips) and the sounds of Brazilian Portuguese, isolated vocabularies and then small everyday phrases using such vocabulary, idioms, cultural curiosities and small doses of grammar when necessary. The student will be monitored during the class and I will always be attentive to corrections and improvements.

Depois, voltei a Portugal onde tirei o mestrado em Ensino de Português Língua Estrangeira. Daqui fui para a China, Trinidad e Tobago e Goa, onde ensinei em universidades. Lecionei PLE em duas universidades em Portugal: universidade de Aveiro e Faculdade de Letras de Coimbra. Atualmente, estou a frequentar o doutoramento em Educação - didática das línguas na Universidade de Aveiro e a dar aulas em Goa novamente.
