The action that benefits or gives an advantage to the rights of a particular person, business, group or organisation.

A person who acts between two different people in order to reach an agreement between them. 
(middleman, negotiator, broker, etc...)

A person who acts on negotiations.

A person who buys/sells for other people or helps others come to an  agreement (honest broker)

Another word for society, but it refers to everyone worldwide. Society mainly refers to the people living in a specific country, but civilisation means everyone in the world in this time/century.

To be motivated by your own interests but in the process disregarding others - distrustful or insincere.

To have a lot of knowledge and information. To know a lot through experience and having learnt from mistakes and actions. Having good judgement.

A budget is a financial plan that indicates income and expenditure for a certain period (monthly, etc.).

Something that was done in advance to prevent something bad or unpleasant from happening.

To decode or translate/solve. For example, taking some text and translating it into another text, sometimes in another language.

Similar to deciphering, breaking, cracking or solving something - usually text or code.

The right to freely express your opinions and thoughts in public through speech.

Identity fraud is when you lie about who you are. This can be a serious offence sometimes.

Someone who isn´t actually who they claim to be. Someone who can blend in with others but is fake. For example, a duck would be an imposter in a gaggle of geese.

It is not your real identity. You use a pseudonym (another name) and in some cases, this can be illegal.

To act or think unfairly and prejudicially against someone, a group of people or something.

To be fair, and treat everyone or everything equally and free from judgement no matter who they are.

To move around lightly - jumping - leaping.

Another word that implies that you are lacking in something - usually necessities like water or food - is impoverished - disadvantaged. Can also refer to emotions.

To scrap something is to discard or remove it. To get rid of it. Usually used to refer to cars or ships.

Another word for facility. Something that is pleasant and enjoyable to use - for example, a gym.

To arrange things in order or in groups. To divide or solve an issue or problem at hand.

To make someone believe something that is not true. Or to believe in something that you know is not true but you ignore the truth because you wish it was real.

A strong word used to express deep disapproval against someone or something - wrong - guilty.

Replaceable - identical -switchable - looks the same and could possibly be used for the same purpose.

Decisive - very important or influential.

Very tall buildings - usually the tallest in the city it is built in.

An online service that makes your website available to everyone on the internet.

To put in place - to position something. For example, we installed a TV in the lounge yesterday.

A location or the act of putting something somewhere.

Placing new tiles on the floor that you are renovating in a house or building. To do flooring.

To give in means to cave into someone or something that you did not want to do originally, but finally agree to. For example, he gave in to his daughter when she begged to go out for ice cream even though it was late.

Something that is very clear or easily understood and seen.

Another word that describes being naive - innocent or blind to something or someone. For example, he was oblivious to the fact that she was in love with him. Everyone else can see it, but he can't.

To be wary or careful about something. For example, she was cautious when she rescued the abandoned dog as he was aggressive/scared.

To put down - to discourage and make someone feel worthless or doing something isn't worth it.

To demoralize or disappoint or make someone lose their spirit in wanting to do or say something. For example, he felt discouraged when his friends laughed at him for wanting to learn how to dance.

When there are many paths, there are many options and choices to make or do.

A career break is when you ask your boss for a temporary leave to do something you want to do - i.e. travel or study. And then you will come back to your job after a specific time of absence.

A career ladder basically means something that grows over time for you. In the beginning, you could be an intern, but when you get promoted (climb up the ladder) your position is higher.

The chosen occupation that you wish to pursue or do. It is your line of work.

What do you plan on doing, how long do you plan to study for it and where do you see yourself in the upcoming years after you start working?

A job that has no signs of letting you grow as a person or employee. There is no opportunity for you. You are stuck doing something monotonous - something you don't enjoy.

To be your own boss and to have your own business.

Your breaking point - the reason why you set off. The last thing that destroys your patience or tolerance. For example, damaging his car was the last straw. He got very mad and left.

Similar to your last straw. The moment you give up or lose patience or tolerance.

A restriction or something that cannot pass your boundary or person. For example, he was at his limit, he could not run anymore and therefore lost the race.

World hunger implies the extreme problems of every country that may be similar to each other. The lack of food and the increase of famine or disease.

To be in poverty means to have nothing at all. No home, food, water, job, family or anything basic that a human being needs.

Extreme scarcity (lack) of food. Diseases may occur.

Fossil fuels are the natural resources we get from Earth. For example, oil or minerals.

The total amount of greenhouse gases (CO2, etc) that is created because of our actions. For example, how much do you drive, fly, use air conditioning, waste, etc...

Another word to say there is another way to do something.

To grow is to continue living. From a baby to an adult, for example.

To get or have something is to obtain it or receive it.

To have something means that it is already in your hands but sometimes it may mean you want to get it into your hands. For example, he has so many cars, but he doesn't have a lot of friends.

To be gone, to not exist anymore or to just perish in thin air - no one can find it or that person.

A person who oversees something decides something and manages the interests of the shareholders of the company.

A person who settles a dispute - like a judge - or referee.

The weather conditions of an area and its environment. For example, the climate in the Sahara desert is very dry and hot.

A system in South Africa where the government turns off the electricity for 2 or 4 hours about 3 times a day due to power issues - lack of supply.

A power outage is when the whole area or city has no form of electricity anywhere. All lights are off. It could be due to system failure or some other issues.

To have wisdom is to be well-experienced in something and to have a lot of knowledge of things. To have learned many things.

Majority rule implies that a vote has taken place and most of the people who are in agreement on something win the vote. Majority wins. It is democratic.

To have done a lot of bad things. For example, he has worked many evils that his children do not wish to be a part of his life.

To be a pain to someone or to have something or someone be a pain to you. An act of continuous annoyance or trouble.
