I’ve been teaching on italki since 2020, working with learners from many different backgrounds and situations. Over time, I’ve learned that most communication problems are not about vocabulary — but about timing, tone, and understanding what’s really happening in a moment. In my lessons, I adjust to your speaking speed, your level, and how you process language — so you don’t feel rushed or overwhelmed. Instead of giving you fixed answers, I help you see what’s happening in a situation, so you can respond more clearly and naturally. The goal is not just to “say correct Chinese”, but to feel comfortable, confident, and understood when you speak.

Learn Chinese Easily with Xianshun First of all, I’m a certified Mandarin teacher who has been teaching Mandarin for 6 yrs . I obtained my CTCSOL (Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages) from the Confucius Institute — it’s the only certificate that officially qualifies someone to teach Mandarin. I also hold a PSC certificate, which means I speak very standard Chinese with no regional accent. I’m a very patient teacher — that’s why I’ve been teaching Chinese for over six years and I’m still as passionate about it as ever. I treat my students as friends. I’m always curious about them as individuals from different parts of the world, and I love hearing their stories and feelings expressed in Chinese.
