I speak Italian, English, and French, and am currently working on improving my Japanese. I hold a Master's degree in Translation and Interpreting, which means I know how language works, how it's learned, and how to make it click for you. I have experience teaching English and Italian to teenagers and adults in private and academic settings. Language learning should feel engaging, not robotic. My approach goes beyond grammar rules and textbook exercises. I focus on real, context-based Italian (what you can put into practice from day one). Whether you're a complete beginner or already have some Italian under your belt, I'll make sure every lesson feels relevant and worth your time. Conversation is at the heart of every lesson. Le mie lezioni hanno tre regole fisse: parliamo italiano dalla prima parola, anche con i principianti veri (abbasso il ritmo, gesticolo, riformulo finché non capisci); costruisco i materiali su misura per te ogni settimana — articoli, canzoni, film, role-play, testi letterari; la pronuncia conta quanto la grammatica, e qui il mio orecchio da cantante fa la differenza che gli studenti notano subito. Per chi canta in italiano offro coaching dedicato su dizione e repertorio. I miei studenti dicono che il tempo vola e che ridono spesso.

I like to create an informal environment, I want my students to feel comfortable and free to talk and also to make mistakes, because I think that's the best way to learn a language. I love my first language and I will try to share this love with my students also by teaching them idioms, that are very helpful when it's time to talk to native speakers.

Moreover, I think that being able to read and comprehend a text can be very useful if you want to travel to Italy.
