Portuguese Teacher: 2 years teaching Portuguese , specialized in conversation, talk with confidence I speak native Portuguese. I had 2 years of experience teaching people on a volunteer placement in Europe, where I taught people of all ages, teenagers, adults, older people and even children! I completed all my schooling and speak fluent English and Spanish because of my international experiences. And now I'm in my third year teaching Portuguese to foreigners!

As a community tutor here on Italki I have been helping people from many different countries to improve their skills in Portuguese. I love having conversations with the students to understand about their learning process and I try to help them with everything I can! You can feel free to ask questions and make mistakes because I truly understand how challenging it is to learn a new language. Portuguese is a complex language because of its pronunciation and grammar rules. But I can assure you it is not impossible to achieve fluency in Portuguese. I am here to help you get this.

During the lessons, I prioritize building the student’s confidence by providing gentle corrections in writing without interrupting their speech. My goal is to help students expand their vocabulary, improve pronunciation, and develop fluency in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.

As a foreign language student, I understand the process and difficulties of learning a new language and developing the skills necessary to be able to communicate in another language. Therefore, I am here to help you on this journey of learning a new language in the most fun, relaxed, simple, friendly and comfortable way possible for you to practice and develop your comprehension and communication skills in Portuguese.

I worked in schools for many years as a teacher and also as a teacher-coordinator. I have been teaching online since 2018, having joined italki in 2020. PLE & ESL Teacher | Modern Languages Graduate | Postgraduate in Bilingual Education With a rich background in language teaching, I have been developing my expertise in various educational settings. Currently, as an English Second Language Teacher at a school in Belo Horizonte, I have been teaching project-based learning. I also have been teaching Portuguese remotely at Itaki since 2017, bringing love, creativity, and fun to the learning process. 🧠

CELTA certification acquired in December 2020. My experience started in 2018 in Peru where I taught English in two language schools for a year. In the meantime I applied to be a community tutor here at Italki where I have been teaching not only English but also Portuguese and Spanish.
