I am very happily married with three childten. Last year I went to Albacete and decided Spain was wonderful. So I've been trying to learn Spanish. I listen to a lot of Spanish, Mexican, Guatamalan and Argentinian music. I am always keen to talk about that if anyone wants to share a language exchange. Talking is the hardest thing to practice. I have worked for many short periods for a Swiss firm (based near Zurich), and in Italy (Bologna). I have tried to learn the language, but everyone speaks better English than I speak German or Italian. I would really like to make sure I can speak good Spanish.

¡Una clase muy divertida! Hablamos sobre tradiciones de Halloween y comida típica. Qué bueno que puedas hablar en español sobre temas diferentes. ¡Sigue así!

    Migración No me gusta la conversación sobre migración. Para mí, la migración es un fenómeno humano. Algunos humanos abandonaron África y se mudaron al norte. Luego, una mutación en los genes de melanonina permitió a los humanos vivir sin tanta luz solar. Por lo tanto, tengo la piel blanca. En otras palabras, sin migración nunca habría humanos blancos. Lo que sucedió es que tenemos "estados nacionales". Con estas estructuras, tenemos fronteras. Ahora, podemos separar a las personas unas de otras, si quisiéramos. Creo que hace grandes problemas. Pero opino que el problema sea la ley y la frontera. Encontraremos soluciones a muchos problemas si no podemos escondernos detrás de las fronteras.

    ¿Por qué la reina del Reino Unido se llama Isabel II? Isabel I fue la reina de Inglaterra desde 1558 hasta 1603. Diego VI fue rey de Escocia desde 1566 hasta 1625. En 1603 también se convirtió en rey de Inglaterra. En 1606 hubo una unión de las coronas de Inglaterra y Escocia. Hasta el día de hoy, Isabel II es la segunda reina Isabel de Inglaterra, pero la primera reina Isabel de Escocia. Además, ella es la primera reina Isabel del Reino Unido. Parece grosero decir Isabel II. Hubo una unión de las coronas. Inglaterra no se hizo cargo de Escocia. Seguramente, ¿sería mejor si la llamáramos Isabel I del Reino Unido?

    For me, I'm learning because my heart says so (Spanish). I struggled to learn Italian for work (over ten years I worked 2 weeks a year in Italy) partly because I find Italian so irregular and I think partly because it was for work and partly because I was trying to get it right.   It was only when my Aunt pointed out that my deaf Grandmother communicated really well with Italians that I rethought my approach.   My Grandmother was profoundly deaf, and had learnt to communicate using all manner of non-verbal communication. So I could watch a mother saying "no" to her child, and the child stamping her feet, crying and saying "Gelato" (Ice Cream) and even though I only heard two words I understood everything I needed about the conversation.   I also used to speak German for work, and keep meaning to refresh it, but as I am over 50 I had to decide to stick with one language.   I saw some of the comments suggesting you learn both because they are similar.   That sounds like a nice idea, but I'm too old for that myself.

    Escocia y Inglaterra Escocia y Inglaterra estuvan diferentes reinos hasta 1645. En esta año James V1 de Escocia convirtió James 1 de Inglaterra tambien. Estuvan diferentes paises hasta 1707. In esa año los parliamentos de Inglattera y Escocia votaron no existir. Se convirtieron en un parlamento del Reino Unido en Londres. Sin embargo, los leyes en Escocia y Inglaterra son different y siempre han sido. La educacion es muy diferente. Creo que en 1998 Escocia tiene un parlamento descentralizado. Todavia, es un interesante pregunta. Deberia Escocia ser independente o deberia la parliament escocia tiene mas poder? Escocia y Inglaterra tiene la misma moneda. No tienes tenir un pasaport para viajar entre Escocia y Inglaterra.

    Fantasy from U.K.

    Recently, I realised that I hadn't watched a movie for several months.
    So I wanted to watch some.

    I checked the list of the movies on offer.
    This season, there are many.
    I found some that I would like to watch.
    One of them is "メアリと魔女の花" (Mary and the Witch's Flower).
    It is an animation.
    Usually, I don't like animations much, but I do have some favourite animations such as "My Neighbor Totoro" and "Kiki's Delivery Service". I have DVDs of them.
    This movie seems to be similar to them.
    So I am thinking of watching it.

    This movie is based on a novel, "The Little Broomstick" written by a British novelist, Mary Stewart.
    I don't think I have read her books yet.

    By the way, it seems like authors in the U.K. have produced many good fantasy stories.
    Alice, Peter Pan, The Lord of the Rings, Narnia, and Harry Potter.
    I am curious as to why so many popular stories come from the U.K.

    ¿Por qué nunca oigo música en español en la radio británica? Me gusta escuchar música en español. No entiendo por qué nunca lo escucho en la radio en el Reino Unido. Si viajo por Europa, escucho a muchos artistas del Reino Unido y de los Estados Unidos en la radio. Ellos cantan en inglés. Tal vez ayude a la gente a aprender inglés. ¿Por qué no oigo música en español en el Reino Unido? Todo mi amor de la familia "Loca" por Sol Pererya. Ella es una cantante argentina (y escritora de canciones, y tocadora de trompetas, y guitarrista). Creo que La Oreja de Van Gogh son maravillosos. Me gusta Coti. Me gusta Ricardo Arjona. Puedo comprar sus CDs y escucharlos en spotify. Pero ¿por qué no reciben airplay aquí.

    A frost in the North

    It is frosty today, the temperate is about -30 degrees. In the morning I stayed next to the window and watched over the cold city.   All people were well dressed for the cold. They put on felt boots, fur coats, mittens and cover their faces with scarfs.
    I saw a woman in sports suit, but she looked so strange! I thought maybe is she from another place?
    There are few cars in the streets. Some people can't turn on an engine of their cars. You can see the breath from the faces of frozen people as well as the exhausts from cars.. People hurry to their destinations. - to work or to the kindergarten. Few children go to school because junior class children must stay at home.
    They are really happy today.
    When I went out today I felled a pinch on my checks. I breathed the cold air and smiled. I like this fresh bracing air. I went quite quickly and run into the cafe and take away one cup of coffee. I enjoy smelling the aroma of fresh coffee.
    When I went round a corner the strong wind caught me. I thought that people in North Pole feel like I feel at this moment.
    My face had burned through the cold air and the wind and my eyes can't see. But it was not for long.   Soon I feel better.
    I went to my work and thought this is why my city Surgut is wonderful. There are clean streets without snow through we have a lot of snow in the winter. There are polite drivers who always give way to pedestrians.
    I smiled and feel happy.

    the harm caused by misleading information online

    Nowadays, there is a lot of information online which fits the need of different people. But unfortunately, only a small part of this information is useful.The rest is false, fraudulent or misleading.
    Misleading information can  affect our lives seriously.   First of all, lots of misleading information makes it difficult to find the useful information, wasting a lot of our time on searching. Secondly, misleading information may generate a erroneous thoughts among the public, for example Internet violence which can cause a lot of victims. Finally, as more and more children are easily misled by bad information as they begin to surf on the Internet they may be directed down the wrong road.
    In a conclusion, misleading information is harmful to us all. We should keep away from it and not spread it.

    Kayak Mi nombre es Paul. Me gusta Kayak. Hay mucho viento en el momento. No me gusta el kayak cuando hace viento. El agua de mar es frío aquí. Es mejor caer fuera de su kayak cuando el agua está caliente.

    It's very hot!!!

    It's very, very, very hot in my city Belo Horizonte. It is now spring but we have summer temperatures. There aren't any beaches in Belo Horizonte but we can freshen up in our pools and waterfalls.   We also wear lighter clothes to help us keep cool.
