What does fluency actually mean in IELTS Speaking? Speaking quickly? Using difficult vocabulary? Never making a mistake? Not quite. Think about a river. A river keeps moving. Sometimes it moves quickly, sometimes more slowly. It bends, changes direction and occasionally meets an obstacle. But it keeps flowing. That's a useful way to think about your English. You don't need to speak incredibly quickly to sound fluent. What you want is for your ideas to flow naturally from one to the next. Imagine the examiner asks: “What do you like about your hometown?” You might answer: “What I like most about my hometown is probably the atmosphere. It's quite a friendly place, and although it isn't particularly big, there's always something going on. For example, at weekends there are usually markets or events in the town centre.” Notice the flow: atmosphere → friendly place → things happening → example One idea naturally leads to the next. Now imagine a river that constantly stops and starts: “I like my hometown because… um… it's… it's quite… um… friendly and… there are… there are lots of…” The English itself isn't necessarily bad. The problem is that the flow keeps breaking. Try it yourself.... Answer this question aloud: “What do you like about the place where you live?” Speak for about 30–45 seconds. Don't try to speak quickly. Instead, imagine your answer as a river. Let one idea flow naturally into the next. Then listen to yourself. Where did your English flow smoothly? Where did your river get stuck? That's how you start developing genuine fluency — not by trying to speak faster, but by learning to keep your English moving.

Kindness could help us from bad luck. For instance. A man standing at the curb saw the manhole cover lift up. Then he walked towards the manhole cover and restored it in the right place. Meanwhile the streetlight fell down ground where this man standed just now. If this man ignored the manhole cover . He must been injured . So keep kind and nice .

Cordialement, Linda

Is it correct that in “I wouldn't be sure that it was profitable in 5 years” we don't need the second “would” when talking about the future relative to “be sure”?
