こんにちは！今日は8月28日水曜日です。「5分でわかる日本語」ポッドキャストへようこそ。私は日本語の先生、みわです。今日は、日本語の中でもよく使われる「の」と「こと」についてお話しします。この2つ、使い方に悩んだことはありませんか？今日は、その違いを確認していきましょう。

まず、「の」と「こと」について簡単にお伝えします。「の」も「こと」も、動詞を名詞のように表現するときに使います。

例えば
　•　「日本語を勉強するのは楽しいです。」
•　「日本語を勉強することは楽しいです。」
この2つの文、どちらも「の」と「こと」を使っていますが、意味はほとんど同じです。このように、「の」と「こと」の両方が使える場合もあれば、使い方を分ける場合もあります。

まずは、「の」だけを使う場合について説明します。「の」を使うのは、頭の中で、はっきりと形が想像できるときです。たとえば、「犬が走るのを見ました。」という文では、犬が走る姿がはっきりと想像できます。このように、「の」は、実際に目に見えるものや聞こえる音など、感じ方に関係する動詞と一緒に使われます。

たとえば、
	• 「子どもが遊ぶのを見ていました。」
	• 「友達が歌うのを聞きました。」です。

また、「止める」を使う時は「の」を使います。
たとえば、「妹がお菓子を買うのを止めました」です。

次に、「こと」だけを使う場合についてです。「こと」は、はっきりと形が想像できない場合に使います。たとえば、「会議の時間が変わることを伝えてください。」という文では、時間が変わるという内容を伝えていて、はっきりとした形は想像できません。この場合、「こと」を使うのが自然です。

たとえば、
	•　「この決まりを守ることが大切です。」
	•	「いつも一緒にいることを約束します。」

また、「です」「できる」「ある」「する」「なる」が続く場合も「こと」を使います。
たとえば、
　　•　　「趣味はアニメを見ることです。」
　　•　　「日本に住んだことがあります。」

「の」と「こと」の使い方は少し難しいですが、大丈夫です。基本は「の」を使っていきましょう。頭の中で、はっきりと形を想像できない時と、「です」「できる」「ある」「する」「なる」などが続く時だけ「こと」を使いましょう。

それでは、ここで皆さんに質問です。次の文で正しい使い方はどれでしょうか？
	1.	「子どもが遊ぶのを見ています。」
	2.	「子どもが遊ぶことを見ています。」
	3.	「1」も「2」も正しい

もう一度、言います。1.2.3.。この場合、目に見える行動を示しています。答えは「1. 子どもが遊ぶのを見ています。」です。

「〜の」と「〜こと」の使い方

Welcome back to another episode of Streetwise English. I'm your host, Carl. I'm an italki American English tutor. Today I want to talk about technical aids for learning languages. And specifically, I want to talk about headphones. So one of the most important things for improving your fluency in any foreign language is to listen to content in that target language.
So for me, I'm currently studying Spanish and trying to maintain my Chinese, so I don't forget it. So what I like to do every day is listen to podcasts. Now you can listen while you're doing other activities like washing your clothes or washing the dishes or exercising at the gym. You can listen to podcasts while you're on the treadmill. 

But the problem is headphones can smash your ears and make your ears uncomfortable. So what I like to do is use bone conduction headphones or earphones. It's a type of headphone that doesn't actually cover your ear canal. It goes in front of your ear and kind of sits on your face. Um, kind of behind your sideburns if you're a man, right in front of your ear and the sound transmits a vibration that goes into your skull and into your ear and your brain can hear the sound just from the vibrations going through your bones. And so they are called bone conduction headphones. I swear by them. And I use them every day. I have a pair which is charged with a USB C port.

So there are many different kinds of options on the market, but I like the ones that use a USB C port to charge them because I don't have to worry about losing the appropriate proprietary charging cord. Instead, I can just use any USB C charging cord to power up the headphones. 

So another advantage of using bone conduction headphones is that while you're wearing them, you can hear sounds outside of the content that you're listening to.
So for example, say, I'm running, I'm jogging and listening to my podcast which is in Chinese while I'm jogging. ( Text limit )

Similar a las historias de otras mujeres legendarias en latinoamérica, como La llorona o La sayona, “La patasola” es el alma en pena de una mujer que perdió a sus hijos por conflictos amorosos. Se conoce como “la patasola” porque anda con un sólo pie. Su cabello es largo y enmarañado, y tiene ojos y boca grandes.

Cuentan que era una mujer que estaba casada con un campesino con quien tenía tres hijos. Un día, a la vuelta del trabajo, el campesino encuentra a la mujer en casa con su patrón, y en un arrebato de furia cortó la cabeza de este último con un machete. La mujer intentó escapar, pero el campesino logró cortarle una de las piernas. Como consecuencia de esta herida la mujer murió pronto. El campesino prendió fuego a la casa y se llevó a sus hijos muy lejos. Desde entonces, el alma en pena de la patasola regresa a buscarlos.

De acuerdo con la región específica donde se cuenta, la patasola aparece con enormes colmillos, por lo que puede tratarse de una especie de vampiro que, más allá de haber sido una mujer despechada, es un ser que protege la naturaleza.

音読み　まつ
訓読み　すえ、送り仮名はありません

意味は、さいご、はし、とかです。

例えば、

・週末ーしゅうまつ　週の終わり、土曜と日曜のこと

・結末ーけつまつ　ものごと、話の終わり

・粉末ーふんまつ　粉こなのこと

・年末ーねんまつ　1年の最後のこと、だいたい12/29ぐらいから

こんな感じですね。
これを使って例文を作っていきましょう！

・週末は雨だったので、家でゆっくり映画を見ました。

・あのドラマの結末が気になる。

・粉末のコーヒーはあまり好きじゃないです。

・もうすぐ年末ですね。何か予定はありますか？

今日の天気は晴れ。
気温は27℃、むし暑いです。
いつもは北海道ですが、今日は大阪でこのポッドキャストを撮っています。

今日は、異字同訓(いじどうくん)について話します。
異字同訓とは、漢字は違うけど、読む音は同じ、という言葉のことですね。

例えば、あつい、という言葉がありますね。
これは、3つ漢字があります。
【暑い】気温が高いことを言いますね。
今日は暑い。暑さ寒さも彼岸まで。とか言います。

【熱い】物の温度が高く感じることや、感情が高ぶることを言います。
コーヒーが熱い。とか、熱い声援を送る。とか言います。

【厚い】物の幅、距離が大きいことを言います。
この本は600ページもあってとても厚い。とか、この壁は厚い。とか言います。

全部使うと、

今日は暑いですが、私は熱いコーヒーを飲みながら、厚い本を読もうと思います。

こんな感じですね。こんなシチュエーションはなかなかないかもしれません。

他にも、
早い、速い
作る、造る、創る
会う、合う、逢う
とか、いろいろありますね。


かえる、や、とる、や、はかる、はたくさん意味があります。多いですがおもしろいので、気になった方は一度調べてみてください。
