Ding to her home to guard her kitchen. Actually, the old woman's

meals/eat with mice can guard my kitchen well?" We said nothing but laughed (Makes sense and is perhaps acceptable but I don’t think it’s quite correct. In my opinion, whatever follows “nothing but” should be able to follow “we said”. Maybe I’m wrong, I’m no expert. I’d say, “We just laughed” or “We only laughed.”). I hope
Ding Ding will (forever) have a happy life (forever) (unnecessary IMO but this is how you’d say it) with her new owner, and I hope Ding Ding is
working hard and will never be fired. Ding Ding (丁丁)有一个新家了! 几周前,一位老妇人(老奶奶)-

I think in general we wouldn’t say “old woman” - to me it sounds a bit like someone you’d encounter in a fairy tale. I’d say “an older lady.” People don’t like being called old here.
Also, in general you’d put a comma before a quote. There are certain times that doesn’t happen, but for now take that as your rule.
Nice job and very cute!

1. Use “who” here since the neighbor and mother in law is the same person. If you list it out, it seems like they are two different people.
