IELTS Writing Task 1 & 2 The bar chart illustrates how many people own a car in China from 1987 to 1999. As can be seen from the bar chat, there were 300 vehicles per thousand people in 1987, the number almost doubled in 1989m at 600. Then it increased by 300 to 900 in 2 years, and the number did not changed much in another 2 years. When it comes to 1995, the vehicle ownership experienced a dramatic growth from 1000 in 1993 to 2000 in 1995. In 1997, the number of vehicles owned by people went up by another 1000 to 3000 per thousand people. And this figure reached the peak in 1999 at just over 4000. Overall, the ownership of vehicle in China was soared year by year between 1987 and 1999. With the popularity of globalization, there are increasingly job opportunities which provided by rich counties waiting to be found overseas. And employees who are skilled and knowledgeable but from developing countries are tend to find a decent job in developed countries. However, whether should those industrial countries’ employer offer more job opportunities to job hunters who are from poor countries has become a fierce debate. In my opinion, they should not do that. As we all probably know, the unemployment rate is increasing year by year, even in a rich country, people are usually hard to find a job, so the government should provide more employment chance o local people as a priority. Staff who are from different countries have different culture and habit which will perform in their career life, it might be tough for boss to manage those staff with other local staff altogether. For example, Arabic people have to wear headband all the time due to their religion belief, but some companies may require staff to wear uniform during the working time to maintain company culture and a sense of unity as a whole. In this circumstances, the culture conflict would be a dilemma for both employers and employees. Although, I admit that rich countries’ employers may want to help poor countries’ employees get rid of poverty and improve their standard of living by employing them, this could deprive outstanding human from poor countries; this, developing countries cannot develop well in terms of lacking talents. All in all, I believe developed countries should not help developing countries by giving more job opportunities to their people, but by giving more education opportunities to their children in stead, so that to cultivate more elites to go back their own country to renovate their country’s econom

IELTS Writing Task 2 Nowadays, there are increasingly more people who are inclined to use machines such as electronic dictionary and personal computer to help with study or work in their daily life. However, whether machine translation is better than human translation has been hotly debated among people these days. In my opinion, machine translation can never replace human translation. First of all, Machine translation is less accurate than human translation. As we all know, language is not only contains basic grammatical rules, but also includes slang, idioms and dialect; sometimes those special phrases are difficult to translate into a proper language. Also, as the involution evolution of the language, language changes all the time. For example, there are many Internet popular words which appear from time to time, therefore it will be unrealistic for machines to update its translation program system too frequently. Moreover, Machine translation is not as flexible as human translation. (After all, machine is died, it could break down when it is bad operated). While human could use their practical knowledge to explain files in an understandable way, especially in case of the schooling, English teachers could translate reference books based on their own understanding to help students who have difficult to understand English. Besides, as for some literatures, such as Hamlet, are better translated by human, since the old saying goes that 1000 people has 1000 different Hamlets in their eyes. However, although machine translation can translate a 10,000-word essay into different languages in a couple of seconds, and save time for people who need the translation urgently, it still has its limited capacity to dig into a deeper the depth meaning of the text. Thus, even people could understand the text in a superficial way, they could never know the deep meaning of the text completely. Above all, we can easily draw the conclusion that machine translation can be seen as an effective way to help people translate documentation immediately and roughly, but human translation is likely impossible to be substituted by machine translation.

IELTS writing task 2 The debate these days draw our attraction about whether the quantities of candidates in different genders should be distributed evenly in every major in educational institutions. Some people think it is not necessary that allocate male and female students evenly in each major, others do not agree with that. Personally, I support the former one, because of the following reasons. To begin with, male and female students have various interest in different area. Like their personality, women are soft and gentle, while men are more decisive and ambitious. That is why women are suitable to be nurses, whilst men are more easy to become leaders in a company or a country, such as Steve Jobs and Barack Hussein Obama. Thus, I reckon they should major in whatever they interested. Secondly, education should play a supporting role in one's carrer path, so students should be allowed to choose their ideal subject according to employment perspective rather than the equity of genders in numbers. In my opinion, the aim to go to the university is to acquire useful skill and knowledge to help ourselves to find a decent job. If one want to be a merchant, he or she are suggested to major in Business Management rather than Literature. If students are allocated to an undesirable major, they may be entangled with their future carrer, that could ruin one's life. Last but not least, although I admit that it is better for students to help each other if there are same number of males and females study together, I still believe it is impossible to achieve utmost equal division. On the basis of statistics, currently the proportion of male and female students in China is 1:6, that means there are no utmost equal division exist. Furthermore, the problem will be aggravated if the school reduce the enrollment requirements of male students but increase that of female students to complete their recruitment goal. To sum up, students should be permited to select subjects freely, because of their interests, future plan and the equity.

Chinese “deep springs college” (3) For the 木工学校, their assignments are: The first semester, independently produced a square stool The second semester, independently produed a long bench The third semester, independently produced a chair The fourth term, independently produced a table In their graduation ceremony, the school invited students' parents and all students took the "graduates certification" from the headmaster. In the local, these children with carpentry can help their family get rid of poverty in two or three years. Teachers teach them how to be a tidy person, how to show filial obedience to their parents. They also accept seven precepts which include don't regard people as the idol; never abjure; never hanker for others' property; no lazy; be Thankful; never steal or rape or murder; and never tell lies or make false. The school never lock the gate, but these students never go to net bars or play vidio games, during their spare time, they prefer to play basketball on the playground. In 2010, the number of graduates reached 247. the headmaster expects these "CraftMaster" inherit exquisite art and become the world class "CraftMaster". American deep springs college haven't achieve this education goal yet, but lots of Chinese people still scramble for that and proud of if they are enrolled in. These Chinese school calculates children from young age, and enable children to learn survival skills through the labor work and learning to be a good person, is it really worse than deep springs college? Oh, yes, languae skill, but compare to how to make a table, which one is easy to learn? And we have dialect which is foreigners cannot understand at all, even they study hard.

Chinese “deep springs college” (2) Let's see a day in 平民学校. In early morning at 6am, headmaster Zhang Xiaolin takes a hammer to hit an iron. The bell reverberated in the valleys, wakes up 163 sleeping children. From the first grade children to 5 grade, they dressing, cleaning, washing...... Like a trained group of soldiers with good disciplines. Followed by 20 minutes labor work to start a new day. 20 minutes labor work is actually the life skills training, such as 20 minutes of labor, is actually the life skills training: wash the clothes, cooking and cleaning. One day's work has not finished yet, they also have a working class in the afternoon. Seven mu of paddy fields, seven gardens, four acres of mountain, a woven bamboo room, a sewing room, a rice mill, a carpenter room, two laundries, that's all place that children can take class in. Here, they are in weave group, farming group, planting rice group, carpenter repair group, sewing group, soil preparation group, sowing group, to learn planting seedlings, fertilizing, weeding, sewing, feeding pigs... One year down, the outcome of the children's work including 7000 kg of rice, 1400kg rapeseed, more than 200 desoms, more than 80 bamboo hats, more than 40 of wax gourds, 3 pigs (1200 kg in total), of course, also many paprika, cabbage, radish, rape, spinach...... , they also send these to the carpentry school a few miles away to help the students there. Students here is using a self teaching materials, the learn how to be a nice person firstly. Few words in the first grade's textbook, mostly are pictures. The first lesson of the picture is that an old man, a child and a broken vase in the ground. Just two words behind it-honesty. Then look at the fifth grade materials, the course includes how do you face unfair situation? How to hold a debate?...... From the first grade to the fifth grade, from the moral lesson to science...... One principle runs through it all-"life is education". Such an independent civilian school also has an ideal examination results. The children did not delay of learning due to labor work, but better than those children who only learn from school and books. But five years later the school banned by the government, I don't know why...

Chinese “deep springs college” (1) These days "deep springs college" is popular on our social web. In fact, you never know that China also has its own "deep spring college", and it is a public school, it calculates students in 7 years old, rather than students in high school. But unfortunately, for such kind of school, an invisible hand clutched its throat and try to stop its growth. Notes: Let's start with a conversation. A: I would like to hire a worker, I pay him 3000 RMB a month. B: What a joke?! 3000 only can recruit a graduate student! This is the fact of Chinese HR market, exam oriented education for 30 years let the society fulfilled with lazy, bumptious so-called "elite", these elites can publish comments on their blog to call "Diaoyu islands is belong to China!" everyday. They can fly all over the world to take part in all kinds of advanced meeting, but when they saw robbers in the street, they even no dear to call 911, when they meet trouble at home, such as broken light bulbs or toilet, they are going to call workers to fix it up. Yes, they will say, "I have lots of money, so what?" Now, they are attracted by the deep springs college in USA desert, they would try their best to send their children to that school to practice, to study or to work. Wake up! China is neither lack of work field nor "deep springs college". I know there are two at least: 德胜平民学校、德胜-鲁班木工学校 In March 19th, 2008, BBC broadcasted a documentary of "Chinese School", it lasted a year and focused on tracking a group of families, teachers and students. It introduced Anhui Province, Xiuning. It chose 休宁中学、海阳中学、木工学校、平民学校 as examples. It attempts to demonstrate the Chinese education, what changed in 3 decades since Chinese economic reform. The schools' motto is "Honesty, Hardworking, Caring and do not take shortcuts", compare to deep springs college, it teaches students how to let education return to the nature through labor.

Time management I'm so tired and busy recently, I really want to sleep. But I have lots of assignments to do, that's crazy! Many overseas friends leave massages to me whether here or on Skype, I have to apologize if I can't reply you right away. Now I have a three-day holiday (International Labour Day), but it doesn't means I can relax, I have to finish another new report and prepare for an internship and an examination next week, and my teacher is very strict, you can't imagine of that! (ToT...) Time goes fast, sometimes we didn't realized, but it indeed gone. I always think about use everyday efficiently, but it seems doesn't work. But I try my best to be better and better from time to time, I never regret or give up. I think we can't enjoy life at such a young age, we should hard working and pursue dreams. French always say that "Oh la la. C'est la vie", I believe I can understand it deeply. Actually, I love to learn language more than anything. But I didn't chose it as my major, my major is logistics, because my parents said it is useful for my future career, so language only can be seen as a hobby. That's pity. I hope to find a good way to schedule my time. I finished my assignment as soon as possible so that I have time to learn "Français", I also want to learn "Deutsch", but I don't have too much time for that, if I learn three kind of languages at the same time, I won't focus on English any more. After all, I'm going to the UK next year, so I should pay more attention to English. At least, learn other languages after finish my IELTS test. Just remind myself, aim to go to Plymouth to learn Shipping! My dream, I'm on the way...
