- Any person out there who is interested in European Portuguese but is finding it hard to find materials online?
Hello everyone!
I come to you today to ask you if you are interested in or already learning European Portuguese, but all you come across in the internet (besides this amazing platform - italki) is Brazilian Portuguese? Have you been struggling to find high quality content?
I might be able to help you, but first let me introduce myself. I am Mia Esmeriz and I am a qualified teacher for European Portuguese here at Italki. My experience here so far has been super duper! I have been finding lots of great students and been helping them with their language adventures :D
Since I have started, I heard my students telling me many times that they are a bit frustrated because they are not able to find any European Portuguese materials in the web. This gave me the idea to start my very own website exactly about the teaching and learning of European Portuguese and I am currently in the process of building it. I have been for the last six months and it is finally starting to look good (at least that is what I think aha).
On my website, you can find a lot of different blog posts about Portugal and European Portuguese and also materials, audios and reviews. I even have a blog post about italki! I do know that there are some things missing, but every day I am uploading content.
So, if you are struggling to find websites on European Portuguese, I would like to suggest that you visit my website.

Desde que eu comecei a aprender português, ando sempre cabisbaixo , consciente da minha ignorância humilhante sobre o complicado mundo desta língua de raíz latina. Às vezes acho qua a minha inteligência fraca nunca superará todas as armadilhas linguísticas da língua na qual o grande Camões e o feiticeiro Pessoa escreveram tão facilmente e tão fascinantemente. A minha antiga experiência da escola instrui-me, como sempre, a usar a conhecida regra latina, "repetito est mater studiorum", e portanto decidi repetir um dos meus exercícios. Então, para este exercício intrincado temos que imaginar um quarto pequeno, no qual estão um gato e uma mesa. Uma coisa simples à primeira vista, mas a relação entre o nosso ator "de bigodes" ( I agree that ator rabudo sounds very strange....I gave an alternative..something like our whiskers actor) e a mesa pode ser muito complicada para a continuação desta história. Perguntemo-nos onde é que poderia ficar o pobre gato num determinado ponto do espaço em relação à mesa. Então, o gato poderia ficar em cima da mesa, ou sobre a mesa, debaixo da mesa ou andar por baixo da mesa. Ao mesmo tempo, o nosso gato poderia estar ao lado da mesa, ou junto à mesa. Num momento o nosso herói poderia decidir afastar-se da mesa e ficar atrás da mesa, em frente à mesa, ou à frente da mesa. Ele também poderia dar um passeio ao redor da mesa, ou em torno da mesa, pela frente da mesa, ou por detrás da mesa. Então, a posição da nossa criatura peluda determinaria a continuação desta história.Mas eu já fiquei cansado por causa deste exercício e da situação com o gato e a mesa, e acho que o nosso gato está esgotado também. Continuaremos a história noutro dia? No entanto, nunca nos esqueçamos do provérbio "repetitio est mater studiorum".

Hi, at the moment ,I am listening to the music "all out of love "，a beautiful song,so great. I plan to prapare for the B1 and B2 level exam ,but i don't know which book is better for me to learn. Do you know? And besides that, I would like to rembember some words everyday ,and do you have some advices for books ?also the site is OK. So that I can learn portuguese better , thank you. Point out the wrong words , please , thanksOi, neste momento, estou ouvindo uma música que se chama "all out of love ". É uma música bonita, muito boa. Eu planejo preparar-me para o exame de B1e B2, mas eu não sei qual livro é melhor para me ajudar a aprender a língua. Você sabe? It is getting harder and harder to educate children. Unlike some years ago, nowadays parents have to work and look after their children. But with so little free time to focus on their education, who is responsible for making kids good members of society? Should it still be a responsibility of the parents or should schools take on such task?
In the 1980s, it was common for the father to make money and be the family provider, while the mother looked after the children. But in the 21st century things are different and both men and women are the providers and the educators of the kids. However, how can they manage to give a good education to their angels and turn them into good people?
There are some options, one of them being to take turns, working in different schedules, and perhaps leaving the kid in a kindergarten for some period of time as well. Another way is leaving their kids with someone they know very well, like the grandparents. This way, parents can still take control of their kids education and make sure their children are going to grow up as expected. Another possibility, it’s just to leave this responsibility to the school, which has professional people who know better than the parents how to turn kids into educated citizens. Besides that, the parents are still going to take part on their kids education. However, it might be the new responsibility of society to take care of children's education in face of the new reality.Given these scenarios, I definitely believe that parents should participate in their kids education as much as they can. Although it might be understood as a new society responsibility, it is not guaranteed that people will really care about other peoples' children. Besides that, I believe that children see their parents as people to be followed, but with parents not being close to them, they might get lost and not know how to behave properly.

I love to eat various dishes and I recently went to a Mexican restaurant. For me it was a new experience and the dishes were not the typical ones from Mexico. Although they were not organic, I liked the dishes mainly because they were hot. I like spicy food! The Tacos and Nachos are now my favourite. For dessert I ate Aegría and Polverón, which are very good. The best of all was the service provided by the staff of the establishment and the amount of dishes, of course. When possible I plan to go back there and take my parents for them to know how good Mexican food is.0명 응답함2016년 9월 27일0Closing a deal
Recently I had to purchase 40 computers, 35 laptops and four desktop computers. Desktop computers were at a friendly price but I had to negotiate the price of the laptops . In the initial proposal each notebook was worth R$ 2,500 and I needed a discount because it was exceeding the total budget that the company had released. After some negotiation each laptop was sold for R$ 2160, and this was a good price for the company and for our supplier. Furthermore, this amount included a two-year warranty with labor and exchange parts at no cost for the company. It was an excellent shopping experience.I changed some things because I think thats what you mean....but I am not sure. Take a look ;)
