Als community teacher möchte ich vor allem das Anwenden der Sprache üben. Ich möchte euch helfen, mehr Sicherheit beim Sprechen zu erlangen und eure sprachlichen Fähigkeiten sowie Kenntnisse zu verbessern. Das Ziel meiner Unterrichtsstunden ist, dass ihr mit Spaß eine neue Sprache erlernt und bereits vorhandenes Wissen vertieft.

Interesting conversations at your language level. My preferred way of learning and teaching languages is through conversation, songs and games. We can talk about the cultures of different countries, current affairs or about art, music, literature, film and TV. This is a good way of getting comfortable in a language and of using words and phrases that are actually useful. We can look at a song together and think about the words. Perhaps you can learn the words of songs by heart for your homework in order to memorise useful expressions.

Therefore, I aim to conduct all German sessions exclusively in German, with the exception of complete beginner courses where additional support may be required. I studied Sociology and History in Germany and have over five years of experience teaching German and Spanish. Additionally, I hold a Goethe-Institut certificate and a Montessori diploma. Learn a language the most natural way I graduated in foreign languages (English, German and French) and I have second a degree in interpreting and translation (English and German). I have over 15 years of experience in teaching and translating. My translation skills help me a lot when it comes to teaching languages for specific purposes, such as legal, medical, business, etc.. At the beginning of our course, I will give you a language assessment test in order to evaluate all your language skills. Language assessment is important because it helps teachers to perceive, analyze and use data on student performance to improve teaching and support students in the best way.

As your tutor I will help you: 1. to feel comfortable in everyday conversations in English or in German. 2. to maintain motivation and to enjoy the process of acquiring a new language. 3. to become "your own best teacher" so you can make the most of learning on your own. I see value in a lot of different methods of language learning. However, the best method is useless if you lose motivation halfway, and even with a less efficient method you can be successful in learning a language if you have fun doing it. That is why I am convinced that maintaining passion and motivation should be on top of our priority list.

My passion is to help people achieve their language goals. I have been teaching adults and children since 2011 and have had a lot of experience in this area. I got my translator's degree in 2013 and passed international exams such as IELTS, DELE, DELF, Goethe-Zertifikat.
