These collaborative teams are able to develop more innovative, holistic solutions that benefit the entire company rather than just a single division. They promote greater understanding between functions and help build relationships that can improve future cooperation.

Example:
Launching a New Product: Imagine a company developing a new fitness tracker. The Marketing team needs to understand user needs and preferences (gathered from the Sales team) to create targeted advertising campaigns. Meanwhile, the Engineering team collaborates with the Design team to ensure the tracker is user-friendly and aesthetically pleasing. Finally, the Manufacturing team works with the Supply Chain team to source materials and ensure production runs smoothly. This cross-functional collaboration ensures a successful launch that considers all aspects, from user experience to market demand and production feasibility.
