みなさんはもう衣替えをしましたか？最近、寒くなってきたので、そろそろ衣替えをしようかなと考えている人が多いかもしれません。衣替えというのは、今着ている服を季節に合った服に入れ替えることをいいます。つまり、夏服をクローゼットにしまって、冬服を出すことです。
私は１ヶ月ほど前に衣替えをしました。半袖のTシャツやズボン、薄いジャケットをクローゼットにしまいました。そして、厚いジャケットやコート、セーターを出しました。
今年は電気代やガス代が高くなるそうなので、家の中でも暖かい服を着て、なるべくヒーターやストーブを使わずに過ごしたいと思います。

衣替え（ころもがえ）-Today’s Word

こんにちは。日本で毎年（まいとし）行われる、毎年恒例（こうれい）の大きなスポーツイベントに全国高等学校野球選手権大会（ぜんこくこうとうがっこうやきゅうせんしゅけんたいかい）があります。全国の高等学校＝高校（こうこう）の野球チームの日本一、ナンバー1（No.1）を決める大会です。

このイベントは単に（たんに）「高校野球」、また開催（かいさい）される場所（ばしょ）の阪神甲子園球場（はんしんこうしえんきゅうじょう）にちなんで「甲子園」とも呼ばれます。春と夏に実施（じっし）されるので、「春の高校野球」とか「夏の甲子園」などと言われることが多い、日本の有名（ゆうめい）なスポーツイベントです。

夏の酷く（ひどく）暑い時期（じき）、酷暑（こくしょ）の中でまだ若い選手（せんしゅ）が何度（なんど）も試合をする、これは健康（けんこう）に悪いイベントだ、それを新聞社がビジネスにしている、「大人が若者を搾取（さくしゅ）している」、別の言い方をすれば「大人が若者を食い物（くいもの）にしている」、と批判（ひはん）されてもいます。

そして高校野球には長い歴史（れきし）があり、今も昔のやり方で高校生（こうこうせい）の選手を指導するチームが沢山（たくさん）あるようです。科学的（かがくてき）・合理的（ごうりてき）なトレーニングより、ともかく沢山厳しい（きびしい）練習（れんしゅう）をさせる、そんなチームが多数あるようです。

野球を楽しむ（たのしむ）こと、技術（ぎじゅつ）を磨いて（みがいて）身に付ける（みにつける）ことより、ひたすら練習して心（こころ）を鍛え（きたえ）辛く（つらく）ても耐える（たえる）気持ち、「根性」（こんじょう）を身に付けることを重視（じゅうし）する、古い考え方がまだ強く残っています。

スポーツを題材（だいざい）にした、厳しい（きびしい）練習をして、根性を身に付ける姿を描いたマンガやアニメを「スポ根」、と呼びます。1960～70年代「スポ根」のマンガやアニメは日本で人気ジャンルでした。今は有名（ゆうめい）だけど古臭い（ふるくさい）、時代錯誤（じだいさくご）な作品（さくひん）として、パロディの対象（たいしょう）となってマンガやアニメで笑い（わらい）のネタにされることも多いです。

「根性」を重視する指導（しどう）は、監督（かんとく）やコーチによる暴力（ぼうりょく）を許し（ゆるし）、その行為（こうい）は選手のためになる指導だと容認（ようにん）する考え方を生みました。

そんな指導を受けた人が監督・コーチになると、同じように選手に暴力をふるう。それを見た選手も先輩（せんぱい）が後輩（こうはい）に暴力をふるう、こんな事はあってはならない行為（こうい）だ、と現在（げんざい）大きな批判にさらされています。

監督や先輩や上司に従う（したがう）、以前から行われていたルールや慣習（かんしゅう）なら、間違って（まちがって）いても従う…という悪い伝統（でんとう）は、高校野球だけでなく日本の様々（さまざま）な分野（ぶんや）で、たとえば会社（かいしゃ）などの組織（そしき）でも、私の好きな映画を作る映画業界（えいがぎょうかい）でも大きな問題（もんだい）になっています。

現在、高校野球はプレイヤーである若い選手のためになる、配慮（はいりょ）した練習が行われるようになりました。また過酷（かこく）な試合のスケジュールを変更するなど、選手の負担（ふたん）を軽減（けいげん）する試み（こころみ）も実施（じっし）されています。

それでも、高校野球は伝統あるイベントだから、と大きな変化（へんか）を望まぬ（のぞまぬ）人も沢山います。日本の様々な分野で見られる、「良き伝統」と「悪い伝統」が入り混じった（いりまじった）もの、その1つが高校野球だと私は考えます。

それでも、私は「夏の甲子園」を楽しみにしています。選手たちは必死に（ひっしに）プレイし、その姿に一喜一憂（いっきいちゆう）＝一つのプレイに喜び（よろこび）、一つのプレイに憂いる（うれいる）、つまり心配（しんぱい）するでしょう。

今年も多くの試合が様々なドラマを生み、多くの日本人を感動（かんどう）させるはずです。今回のお話、野球に興味（きょうみ）の無い方には理解（りかい）出来なかったですか？でも、あなたの国にも同じように、人々を熱狂（ねっきょう）させる人気（にんき）を持つスポーツがありませんか？それでは、さようなら。
