Professionele leerkrachtIn Spanish, durar means “to last”.
We use it to talk about how long an event, activity, or situation lasts.
The important idea is that the subject is the thing that lasts, not the person.
Structure:
Algo + dura + tiempo
Examples:
La reunión dura dos horas.
La película dura tres horas.
El viaje duró diez horas.
La clase dura noventa minutos.
Think of it like this:
👉 The event itself lasts a certain amount of time.
La clase de hoy ____ una hora y media.
