Professionele leerkrachtTeaching Kids English: What Really Works at Every Age (and Why My Students Love It)
Teaching children is not just about English — it’s about energy, attention, and connection. Over the past 7 years, I’ve worked with kids of all ages (from 4 to teenagers), and one thing is clear: each age needs a completely different approach.
Here’s how I make my lessons fun, effective, and Quick activity changes every few minutes
My goal here is simple:
👉 Create positive emotions around English
Because when a child enjoys the lesson, learning happens naturally.
🚀 Ages 7–10: Building Confidence + Real Progress
This is my favorite age to teach — kids are curious, energetic, and ready to learn.
Here I start adding more structure, but still keep it fun:
🧩 Interactive exercises and speaking games
📖 Simple reading and storytelling
🎯 Vocabulary + basic grammar (without overwhelming them)
🗣 Encouraging full sentences instead of single words
At this stage, I focus on: 👉 Confidence in speaking
I want kids to feel comfortable expressing themselves — even if they make mistakes (which is totally normal!).
🔥 Teenagers: Speak, Think, Express
Teenagers don’t want “kids’ lessons” — they want real communication.
So I shift the focus completely:
💬 Discussions about real topics (life, goals, opinions)
🎬 Videos, trends, and modern content
🧠 Critical thinking and expressing ideas
📚 Grammar explained clearly and practically
For teens, my priority is: 👉 Fluency + personality in English
I help them sound natural, not just correct.
