Professionele leerkracht🧠✨ Why does transport, export, and support all feel connected?
Because they are 👇
They all share the Latin root -port-, from portare, meaning “to carry”.
Let’s break it down:
➡️ trans-port = carry across (move something from one place to another)
➡️ ex-port = carry out (send goods out of a country)
➡️ im-port = carry in (bring goods into a country)
➡️ sup-port = carry from below (hold something up → help, support)
💡 Suddenly, these words are not random anymore — they follow a pattern.
This is the difference between: ❌ memorizing words
✅ understanding how English actually works
And when you see the system… learning becomes much easier 😉
