Since my studies (BA & MA) in Germany, Egypt and India, I have been working in various self-organized and community-based projects where I could bring this vision forward. Overall, I'm interested in the question how different languages shape a different way of thinking, which I have encountered while learning different languages such as Latin, Greek, Arabic, Spanish and English. In my teaching, I apply creative and alternative teaching methods (flipped classroom, project based learning) and I find it particularly important to maintain a horizontal attitude towards my students. Instead of maintaining my authority, I tend to see my students as participants in a mutual effort of learning. I understand a teaching lesson as a collective experience rather than a lecture that is delivered only by the teacher.
