Teaching (and language learning) is who I am. In university, many of my friends were international students. I took pride in my ability to adapt my English to the appropriate level as they progressed. I was learning German, and this really helped me see things from their perspective. Now I am well-known in the Esperanto community - a regular teacher-in-residence at NASK and other events. In 1988 I became a tutor in a Free Esperanto Course (which I now administer), and when I left my IT career in 2016, I started teaching once a week at the local ESOL Association, as well as tutoring on line and in person. Teaching different languages in these situations has given me a unique perspective.

Currently accepting only intermediate and advanced students I've been teaching German for many years and I've taught students of all ages. For me, every student is special and I prepare every lesson individually based on your learning style, needs and goals. As a result, I will gradually develop your German and boost your skills and confidence in less time than you thought possible.

As someone who used to stutter and dislike languages (and especially the pesky grammar), getting into intense-self-studies to improve my English became my origin story. I worked as teacher for English in my hometown for 2 years afterward, after acquiring a C2 certificate from Cambridge. This encouraged me to also intensely study and re-fresh the German grammar, phonetics and teaching techniques (didactic) before starting to teach it online full-time. (it included a lot of head-shaking, and I’m a native) Through that, and my pursuit to master art I don’t believe in inherited talent, but pursued interest.
