In my experience the biggest problem with learning a language is that the students think they need to get it perfectly right every time they say something. This stops you from talking freely, and makes you fall short of your full potential. In my lessons, I will encourage you to speak without being afraid of making mistakes. I offer different kinds of lessons, some follow a course structure, others are only focused on conversation. Of course it's also possible to mix a structural approach with free speaking.

Russian, English and German Lessons with Maria -> is a challenge, so if you need some extra-motivation, I cannot help you. I teach without camera because I want to focus on teaching / learning, but I am free to talk and discuss many topics with you. Más de 17 años de experiencia I never thought that teaching could be the right job for me, but - here I am - seventeen years and around a thousand of students later. At some point, I realised that teaching had become a passion. My professional experience before italki was focused mainly on exam preparation both in English (e.g. Cambridge, Trinity) and German (Goethe Institut, telc) and included - apart from the usual group and individual, intensive and regular courses - level-testing and organising mock exams. For several years, I also worked as an English examiner and corrector at one of the universities in Spain. I hold a C2 Certificate in Spanish (DELE).

I tutored many students for years at my old school in the german language and now I am teaching german as a volunteer at french schools. That’s why I also have a lot of experience tutoring people with different mother tongues.
