Over 15 years of teaching experience. Brazilian Portuguese group classes and private tutoring I've been an English teacher for over 15 years. I worked in schools for many years as a teacher and also as a teacher-coordinator. I have been teaching online since 2018, having joined italki in 2020. I go to university to study Portuguese, which is my mother tongue that I also love to teach. I'm getting my degree at the end of 2024. Sempre apreciei a arte e a comunicação como bases importantes do meu conteúdo e, assim, pude me utilizar também da literatura que eu escrevia, de poemas e peças de teatro, para aplicar nos meus contextos de sala de aula, o que me resultou em cinco livros publicados, alguns de temas voltados para o ensino das aulas que ministrei.

I also worked for the MimicMethod for a few years, where I was the Head of French Instruction and helped give specific pronunciation feedback to students. Later on, I also took lessons with a cinema accent coach and got acquainted with a more theatrical approach, which helped me be more versatile in my feedback. When I see one type of feedback doesn't work, I try another one. Each student reacts differently to different verbal cues, so I think it's important I can bring these different approaches to them, whenever needed :)
