I graduated from Manchester University in economics and have lived and worked in the far east for many years. I am looking for people who want to teach seriously and learn seriously. Hungarian and Hungary is very interesting to me and I wish to live in Hungary. My language standard in at the elementary level but hope to improve! I look forward to meeting new friends.

    Like is perfectly ok as a translation of 喜欢. We do not think it sounds 怪怪的. When speaking we show extra feeling by stressing 'like'. In your sentence perhaps you could say 'I LIKE that girl'.

    There is very little difference between the two statements. To hair split, one can say 'I don't believe this' is an absolute rejection while 'I can't believe this' is less absolute and has a connotation of disbelief in something one has read or seen. NB The intonation and stress when spoken is important and gives a guide to what the speaker means.

    Both are OK. You could say it is in the menu because it is listed next to various other dishes. On the menu is OK as it could be on a notice board as the dish of the day for instance.

    Congratulations on studying 'Sense and Sensibility' and one of the reasons for Jane Austen's title is that the two words seem the same but have almost opposite meanings. Try to think of Sense meaning sensible and Sensibility meaning sensitive.
