I favor the gastronomy of my country. In México there are so many dishes and
beverages, we specialize in tequila, mezcal and pulque.
Para mi, la gastronomía de
mi país, en México hay muchos platillos y bebidas, en especial el tequila,
mezcal y pulque.

This is an essay about an episode of Japanese drama. The name is “HIKIKOMORI
SENSEI” in Japanese. HIKIKOMORI means recluse and SENSEI means teacher. The main
character hadn’t gone outside and seen people because he was scared of people.
Even after he overcame this and was able to see people, he refrained from
communicating with people beyond superficial talk. One day he gave a speech about overcoming his
social reclusion; a president of a junior high school listened to his speech and
thought he was the best person to lead students to refuse to go to school. So the
president asked him to work as a part time teacher. Of course he rejected the
offer. However, he meets a student ( from the position he declined) and
helps her. Finally because of that inspiring teachable moment, he decides to be a teacher. Thats the first episode. Realistically, these
situations seldom occur in a real life. But it’s true that a person who has had similar situations in life can relate to one another.

The first sounds accurate and the second sounds fine too. The second is not wrong, but usually I use the word: in, like this:
“The cat is in the box.”
I always use it as something that will be placed in something else.
The boy is in the yard playing.
The ring is put away in the drawer.
I hope this helps.

Simply to pass something as you walk by it.
“She walked passed the dog.”
