Hi please help. Let me just finish this then we can go. What's " let me" in this sentence It means literal " allow me". Or is it equivalent of I will just finish this and then we can go.

Avoid alcohol, drinks containing caffeine or acidic drinks such as grapefruit / orange / lemon / pineap- ple juice. So i don’t get it ! Does that mean if i drink any kind of drinks mentioned i should wait 2 hours before taking the medication ? Or after i took the medicine i should wait 2 hours before drinking any of them ?
