روزی روزگاری مرغی در یک مزرعه زنگی میکرد که بخاطر پرهای قرمزش همه او را پر قرمزی صدا میکردند.

روزی پر قرمزی در مزرعه در حال گشت و گذار و دانه خوردن بود که روباهی او را دید و آب از دهانش به راه افتاد.

سریع به خانه رفت و به همسرش گفت قابلمه را پر از آب کند و روی گاز بگذارد تا او ناهار را بیاورد. بعد دوباره به مزرعه برگشت.

وقتی پرقرمزی اصلا حواسش نبود. پیش از آنکه بتواند کمک بخواهد، او را گرفت و در یک گونی انداخت. و بعد خوشحال راه افتاد به سمت خانه.
دوست پرقرمزی که یک کبوتر بود، همه ی داستان را تماشا میکرد و برای نجات دوستش سریع یک نقشه کشید.

کبوتر رفت و سر راه روباه نشست و وانمود کرد که پایش شکسته است. روباه تا او را دید خیلی خوشحال شد و با خودش فکر کرد امروز ناهار مفصلی میخورد.

گونی را روی زمین گذاشت و به سمت کبوتر رفت تا او را بگیرد. کبوتر هم آرام آرام عقب میرفت.

پرقرمزی تا دید که روباه حواسش به کبوتر است از توی گونی بیرون آمد، یک سنگ داخل گونی گذاشت و فرار کرد.

کبوتر وقتی دید دوستش به اندازه کافی دور شده، شروع به پرواز کرد و بالای درختی نشست.

روباه هم که ناامید شده بود به سمت گونی رفت و آن را برداشت و به خانه رفت.

وقتی به خانه رسید، قابلمه روی گاز بود. گونی را توی قابلمه خالی کرد و سنگ تالاپی توی آب افتاد و آب جوش ها روی صورت روباه ریخت و روباه حسابی سوخت.

El axolote mexicano o ajolote, Ambystoma mexicanum, es una salamandra con la característica poco habitual de conservar sus rasgos larvales en su vida adulta. Esta condición, que se conoce como neotenia, significa que conserva su aleta dorsal de renacuajo -que recorre casi la totalidad de su cuerpo- y sus branquias externas, que sobresalen de la parte trasera de su ancha cabeza en forma de plumas.

Este singular anfibio se encuentra en peligro crítico de extinción según la lista roja de la Unión Internacional por la Conservación de la Naturaleza, debido a la pérdida de hábitat, la introducción de especies invasoras en su hábitat, la sobreexplotación, la contaminación y su consumo como alimento. El axolote se encuentra únicamente en el complejo lacustre de Xochimilco (pronunciado Sochimilco), cercano a la ciudad de México, y difiere de la mayoría de las salamandras en que vive permanentemente en el agua. En casos extremadamente raros, el axolote madura y sale del agua, pero en la mayoría de los casos prefieren permanecer en el fondo de los lagos y canales de Xochimilco.

El axolote, pariente cercano de la salamandra tigre, puede ser bastante grande y alcanza longitudes de hasta 30 centímetros, aunque su tamaño medio es de 15 cm. El axolote suele ser negro o marrón moteado, aunque también son relativamente comunes las variedades albinas y blancas, especialmente entre especímenes criados en cautividad.

El axolote es longevo, alcanza hasta 15 años de edad alimentándose de moluscos, gusanos, larvas de insectos, crustáceos y algún pez. Esta especie, acostumbrada al papel de predador en su hábitat, ha empezado a padecer la introducción de grandes peces en su hábitat lacustre. Entre las amenazas naturales se cuentan las aves de presa como las garzas.
