こんばんは！Atsushiです。
今日の天気は曇り。
気温は昼は12℃ぐらいでしたが、今は8℃です。朝は2℃でした。
もう冬！と感じる季節ですが、実はこれぐらいの気温は北海道の方にとっては秋の始まりだそうです。関西人の私にとっては冬並みの気温ですが、ちょっと甘かったですね。

今回は頭、あたまという言葉を使った慣用句かんようくについて話します。
慣用句とは、昔から使われきた2つ以上の言葉がのまとまりのこと、ですね。実際の文字通りの意味とは違った表現になったものが多いです。

英語などにもあると思います。例えば、
Piece of cake. これは簡単にできること、楽勝！などの意味で使われますね。
Practice makes perfect.「習うより慣れよ」これは、教わるより練習（努力）が成功を生む」という意味ですね。私の英語のレッスンの先生もこの言葉を使っているので、最近、この言葉が好きです。

　語学って、筋トレみたいですもんね。続けることでやっと当たり前になっていく、というか、近道はない、というより、毎日続けることが近道、という感じですね。

話を戻します。

今日は頭という言葉を使った慣用句を3つ紹介します。
日常で出てくることもあるかもしれませんので、知っていると意味が簡単にわかるようになります！

①頭(あたま)が上(あ)がらない 
これは、相手に引け目を感じて対等な関係に立てない。というような意味です。
いい意味でも、良くない意味でも使います。例えば、
借りがあるので頭が上がらない、とか
お世話になったのであの人には頭が上がらない、などと使います。

② 頭(あたま)が切(き)れる 
これは、頭の回転が速い、とか考えが鋭い、というような意味です。英語だとcleverとかに近いかもしれません。
彼女は頭が切れる、とか言います。
似たような言葉で、
頭が冴(さ)えている、とかも使いますが、これはいつもより今日は頭が良く動く、というような意味です。今日は頭が冴えている！とか使います。

③ 頭(あたま)が下(さ)がる 
これは、すごいなーと感心するような意味です。
例えば、
彼の勤勉ぶりには頭が下がりますー勤勉きんべんは、良く勉強をしていることです。


ということで、どうでしたか？
頭という言葉で調べると、慣用句はとてもたくさん出てきます。
まずは、テレビなどでも出てきそうな慣用句を3つ、紹介しました。
