For my kid, English is the first foreign language that we choose for him as English is an international language and is an important communication tool. Since he was born, we played English nursery rhythms to him. He loves singing songs with us and he has learnt the English vocabularies from the songs. 'Happy Birthday', ' The Wheels On The Bus', 'I Can Sing A Rainbow' and ' Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars' are his favorites songs. We brought English children's books and read with him. He loves reading with us. They are interesting and bring lots of fun to him. He sometimes follow us to read the words. He mads about the Peppa Pig series books and a book called 'Best Word Book Ever'. He has read 'Best Word Book Ever' recently and he learned the numbers 1-20 from this book! I hope these methods can help him to lay a foundation for English learning and improve my English at the same time.
