Profesjonalny nauczycielš¼ Employer vs Employee ā Whatās the Difference?
Many students mix up the words employer and employee.
But the difference is simple š
Letās make it clear š
š Employer = the person who gives a job
š Employee = the person who has the job
š Easy trick to remember:
Employ = to give someone a job.
⢠EmployER ā the person who GIVES the job
⢠EmployEE ā the person who GETS the job
Think like this:
TeachER ā teaches
EmployER ā employs
The ending -er = the person who DOES the action.
The ending -ee = the person who RECEIVES the action.
Examples:
ā The employer gives her a job.
ā The employee works in the company.
ā The employee asks for a day off.
More examples:
trainER / trainEE
interviewER / interviewEE
Now itās easy, right? š
Tell me in the comments:
Are you an employee or an employer?
