Happy New Year! We are now in 2024. Unfortunately, several disasters, accidents and incidents occurred in Japan early in the new year as some of you might know. I’m particularly saddened by the aircraft accident that occurred on January 2nd as an aviation fan. By the way, I took the TOEIC test at the end of last year my score was announced. To be honest, it was the worst. I could have gotten a better score. I felt very frustrated and decided to take the test again. I’d like to prepare well for the next test. In addition, I have one more big news. I’m going to Europe with my friend next month! We are planning to visit London, Paris, Vienna, Prague, and Berlin. I'm interested in the history of Eastern Europe. I wish you a happy new year! I'm sorry long time no post. It has been a while since I have posted. Because school was on winter break. Many students returned home to spend time with their families. What did you do during the new year holidays? In my case, I went to Lake Yamanaka in Yamanashi prefecture near Mt.Fuji with friends. We had a year end party there and watched the first time sunrise without sleeping. It was deep in the mountains so I drove along a mountain road. Finally, the new year has arrived. Japanese people have a custom of going to a shrine within three days of the new year. Of course I also prayed at the shrine and drew a fortune. Fortunately, I received a lot of new year's gifts this year. By the way, I will take the TOEIC test this month and next month. That's why I need to balance studying English and doing schoolwork. And I have plans to travel to Singapore for the first time in my life in March. I am looking forward to go to there. I don't know what kind of year 2024 will be, but I hope it will be a good year. It's sunny today. We are preparing to pack our luggage as we will depart on Monday. I am so excited! One thing caught my eye - the disposable underwear. What a brilliant invention! They are so convenient and cheap enough to just toss away after a day. My dad mentioned that when he was my age and traveled, he simply wore his underwear inside-out every other day. Gross! Why on earth did my mom marry him?
